Herr Meredig's sort of eccentric, but I like it! He puts a lot of energy into his lectures and tries to keep us as engaged as possible. His tests are fairly easy, but his daily quizzes can be a bit rough if you don't study. Taking high school German is highly recommended, but you won't need it to do well in the class. Also, get a physical textbook.

Dr. Meredig is an amazing teacher! I took Russian with him and of you do all the homework and don't mind humor this class is amazing. He makes class engaging and funny. I would highly recommend this class!

Dr. Meredig is honestly a great guy and a great teacher. This class is very difficult if you have never dabbled in another language, but that is to be expected. He is ALWAYS willing to help you outside of class and really cares about your overall success as a student. Highly recommend!

The man is wonderful. He knows his stuff and makes the subject matter interesting and most of all entertaining. It's hard (because it's a language) and a lot of homework, but it's worth it. And I loved listening to Meredig talk.

if you're good with russian, homework isn't too neccesary. tests aren't that bad. meredig is possibly one of the best language professors at UE. knows EVERYTHING about EVERY word, no matter what the language. no technology in his classes, though.

Great teacher, better than the other UE german teacher. His class is organized and runs smoothly, you really do learn a lot. There is a lot of homework, but he does not grade it that hard. The tests however can be hard to get A's on.
