Awesome teacher, learning a new language isnt so easy but he makes it fun and keeps the whole class involved. not a hugely strict grader. you can surely leave with some knowledge if you put even a little effort in.

I Suck at languages, so my grade was not too good. but Prof. Shea is an Awsome Teacher! he is very helpful, makes you participate and will do all he can to help you learn the language. Test/Quizes, are fill-outs, so there is no guessing games. you can't fake learning. if you have the chance, take his class, he's an Outstaning Teacher! A+++++

Prof. Shea pronounced like the baseball stadium, is a man of many languages. Shea makes class fun and is there for you to learn. Grade consists of class partic, HW, quizzes, tests, and attending a heritage event. Study and do these things and you should get an A. If you need a language credit I recommend enrolling in one of his POLISH classes.

I agree, this teacher is a good one. People indeed misunderstand his humor, but he is actually a very understanding and helpful person. And yes - very intelligent!! This guy speaks 5 languages fluently...learn from him!

I am not Polish and I took 3 of his classes, now I can read & understand Polish. I thought he was a very good teacher. I think his humor is often mistaken for rudeness because people can't take sarcasm. I found class challanging, yet fun.
