Dr. Borkin is hands down one of the nicest professors I have ever had. Always there to help, NO MATTER WHAT. She is also extremely fair and will work with you to get an A, no tricks anywhere.

Julie is the only reason I made it through HON 1000. Great lady who genuinely cares. Make sure to read for the quizzes. I hated the class and the whole concept of the class, but Julie was very helpful. I give her an A.

Julie is really helpful and kind. She always tries to get to know the students and she made the honors lectures easier to understand. Her grading is fair but she really looks into what your sources are and how you use your sources for essays! All in all i would take her over again if i had the chance to!!

Comment:

Borkin just joined the HON 1000 team this year. She is a great discussion teacher! Always goes out of her way to make Herron's lectures more understandable. She genuinely cares about us. Very helpful, and prompt in email replies. Not that hard of a grader, I did fine some of my friends struggled. But it an honors class its supposed to be hard.

borkin was not a good teacher. i am surprised how many good notes she gets on here. she was unprepared, did not really know the material that well, and could be manipulative. she gets good marks from her students b/c she gives so many a's. you are better off with a full time instructor who knows the material well and has done research in this area

Julie is a very good teacher. You have to put in the tedious work for every COM 1010 class because the department sets the ciricullum but Julie is VERY helpful and she feels with you. put in an honest effort-get an A

I loved this class and I loved Julie. She's one of the best teachers I have had at WSU, really took an interest in the students in and out of the classroom. And office hours at Starbucks!

Shes really nice and was easy to get ahold of!! She really made me feel not so nervous anymore. I was never good at public speaking, but she was good at helping us find the confidence we needed. Great teacher!
