Mrs. Kearney is a lot of fun and our class was a great class and was one of my favorite classes I have ever taken. Halfway through the year we had to switch to online because of the pandemic. Mrs. Kearney still gave two lectures plus lab time each week through zoom to still give it somewhat of a face to face feel which was extremely helpful.

BY FAR the worst professor I have EVER taken. I will not recommend ANYBODY to take her class. She rushed through everything this summer. My questions would get answered in the form of a question or very vaguely. I would stay after class sometimes to get clarity and she would have trouble explaining it. Partial credit is given but she is VERY PICKY

Run for your lives, she is by far the worst teacher I have ever had the misfortune of suffering under. She spends way too much time explaining simple concepts and speeds through the complicated ones at mock 1. Get ready to study the powerpoints and tech yourself. I don't know how she is the head of the chem dept. Worst prof ever. 0/10.

Taken in 2016, Ms. Kearney was one of the most unprofessional teachers I have ever had. She outright doesn't know the material that she is teaching and won't admit it when she's wrong. She wrongly accused me of cheating on one of her exams (when I sat in front of her during) and gave me a grade that made it nearly impossible for me to pass.

Ms. Kearney is without a doubt one of the worst teachers that I have ever had. She outright gives you incorrect or condescending information so for some students with certain majors, this is awful. My favorite quote from her class is "Uranium is not radioactive". If it weren't for the character limit, I would write an essay about how bad she is.

If you take from her, be prepared to learn a lot of the material on your own. She was pretty intimidating and hard to ask questions to. She does know her stuff but she doesn't really know how to put it on the students level if that makes sense. If you do all the suggested homework and practice which is a lot, you will make an A.

I was excited to take on this challenge, and needed this course to move on with my bachelor's. I am an A/B student and this was the FIRST class I had to drop because I had a failing grade. I was heart broken and Mrs. Kearney was not compassionate or easy to understand. I even attended private sessions with her and could not get anywhere. Stay away!

She knows her stuff and is the head of the chemistry department at nash but presents the information untimely and poorly. Its hard to grasp and shes constantly rushing you. Shell work with you but even with her help you feel like youre drowning under her PowerPoint reading lectures and difficult tests.

Mrs. Kearney knows her Chemistry, but the way she teaches will confuse you. Her class was the most challenging class i've taken at Nash Community College. I tried and tried and put in a lot of effort, but it was no use. Nash has another chemistry professor I would 100% take the other teacher rather than Kearney.

She knows the material but CANNOT teach it to save her life!! I ended up dropping this class even after attending her tutoring sessions, just because there was no way on earth I would pass her class at the rate I was going. Hands down the worst professor I've ever had.

Mrs. Kearney is a very nice teacher and she knows how to teacher her chemistry, but her test are VERY difficult. If her test were formatted differently I believe the class would be a lot easier.

She is not nearly as bad as what most people say on here. Chemistry is a difficult subject to learn for anyone, so you have to take time out of the classroom to reach your goal. Dont expect her to hand out good grades without YOU putting in a lot of effort. Sometimes the information on the test will not be covered in class. Lecture is nonmandatory.

She knows her chemistry but does NOT know how to teach it. She lets you use a note card on test days and sometimes even gives take home tests, but you normally still fail over half the tests so it doesn't really help. You basically have to show up for class for attendance purposes and then go home and do your own research to teach yourself CHM!!

TERRIBLE PROFESSOR, she just reads a PowerPoint to you and expects you to understand. She only shows how to work 1 easy problem in class and the tests are 10 hard problems that she did not go over how to work in class. She is the only CHM professor at Nash so I would suggest you take CHM somewhere else unless you like teaching yourself or wasting$

This teacher is someone to avoid. I have not had so much difficulty in a class. If science is not your subject, she is not your teacher. She acts as if you are an idiot when asking questions and will fly through the information.

June Kearney knows the material inside and out and really moves fast. You absolutely must do work on your own to do well in this class, but an A is definitely possible. She certainly doesn't spoon feed but she gives plenty of extra credit and partial credit on exams. Anyone who is willing to study can do well in this class - Any chem takes work.

Mrs. Kearney seemed nice at first but when class starts you find that she just flyssssss through material and then gives an attitude if someone is confused. She is one of the teachers that forgot learning her subject is difficult she just assumes your an idiot if you don't get it. DON'T TAKE AT ALL COSTS

Very vague. Lazy. She sits at a desk with her powerpoint presentation and refuses to spend much needed time on abstract concepts. Virtually every other class is wasted. Avoid this teacher at all costs.

June Kearney was the worst teacher ive had in my time at nash. In my chemistry class, over 60% of the students dropped, and those remaining almost all did poorly. June is very vague with her lessons, which consist of going through a powerpoint presentation, and offering very little explanation. Avoid at all costs.
