I absolutely LOVED her and the class. She helped give a lot of feedback in and outside of class. She is great at her job and it absolutely shows that she loves what she teaches. She deserves all the love.

Comment:

Anybody who takes her class will love her. She is very funny and caring. She is not a hard grader, and you can expect at least a B if you turn everything in on time. I highly recommend her, she is the best COMP teacher at Kutztown.

Comment:

ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS AT KU! So kind and understanding. A true gem. Be prepared to write a lot of papers, but she lets you work on your assignments in class and offers a lot of help. No textbook, no final, just papers and attendance/participation. Easiest A ever! Any opportunity to take Dr. Hartman, do it!

Kathleen is a super nice women. She's talkative and clearly passionate about writing. She's very helpful with any assignments she assigns and clear about the assignment criteria. Resume, cover letter, LinkedIn, thank you emails, and job related documents are created and revised in this class. I would personally recommend.

I LOVE HER! Hartman was a great prof to have. She was so understanding; clear on her expectations; gave amazing feedback; gave plenty of time for projects, and assigned fun projects. Dr. Hartman is not that challenging but she does have high expectations and expects participation. I would take her for every English/Comp class if I could. 10/10 lady

Not a fan. Hartman doesn't really seem to care too much about her students unless you're a part of the English department. I've gotten attitude one too many times from her and I would not recommend her if you're a student who needs help outside of the class.

Kathleen is a gem. So kind and truly care about her students. The class is very simple and you actually USE THE THINGS YOU LEARN!! My resume and cover letter greatly improved and I have used the cover letter i wrote for class multiple times, just changing it a bit for each job. If you are struggling just show her you care and she will be help you!

I love Dr. Hartman she is so caring, and helpful. As long as you put forth effort she will help you with whatever you need help with. She is so understanding, and easy to talk to. She likes to talk to her students and check in with her students to make sure they are understanding the assignments and are doing a good job. Very easy.

Course wasn't that difficult, but it was really demanding. 5 projects, which are easy, but instructions are kind of indirect. There's rubrics, but they don't help much. Quite a talker, too. By week 3 I was really irritated with the aggressive lecture method. Extremely nice woman, just a bit excessive at times. Course does help in the real world.

This class was not only extremely useful, but Dr. Hartman made me look forward to going. She made me a better writer & editor. 5 total assignments that will apply to life after college (emails, resumes, reports, letters & memo's), as well as being graded on attendance, quizzes and participation. Take this class (as a junior if possible)!

Dr. Hartman is an amazing teacher. She is really caring and understanding. Her class makes you feel "at home" and has a more personable class feel like high school. Only have 4 papers to write and she gives awesome feedback and helps you through the writing process. I would definitely take her. Attendance is 20% of your grade. 4 Essays are 20% each

Professor Hartman is a great professor and such a sweet lady. There is a lot of reading and the tests are all open ended questions for the most part so you really have to know the books. Easy A as long as you attend/participate and read.

Awesome teacher!! Grades are just 4 essays and attendance. I used to no like writing but after I took this class, I started to really like writing. Definitely take this class. I loved it so much. Dr. Hartman is amazing too. Very nice, caring, personable, and helpful.

She is the nicest prof I've had so far. She will give all the help you need as long as you respect her and ask. She is very clear and had fun papersprojects. The class was a bit too easy for me but I still enjoyed it. Easy AB. Great teacher and very caring too.

She is such a sweet and understanding lady. She loves her job. She tends to do a lot of peer editing. If you go to her office hours, she will give you so many suggestions on your paper. She likes to see A LOT of improvement from your rough draft. Her grading is extremely fair. You get out as much as you put into her class. Take her!
