Comment:

He seems very intimidating at first, but you get used to it. Weekly essays (only 2-3 pages) were annoying but they can really help your grade. If you don't understand something GO TO OFFICE HOURS. He's super helpful. I'd say this class is easy to get a B- but if you want an A you'll have to work hard. Super interesting class and you'll learn A LOT.

Professor Dobski is the best professor I have had here. Amazing lectures, great grading feedback. He is, however, a very hard grader and makes you really work for your grade. The second half of my class was a game where we worked to rebuild Athens, it was phenomenal. He's intimidating, however, appreciates when you don't let him intimidate you.

Probably one of the most passionate professors I've ever had. Kind of intimidating at first but you'll be fine as long as you actively do the reading and participate in class The lectures are very engaging but make sure you're prepared. Definitely not an easy A, or even an easy B, but put in the effort and your grade will reflect that

Professor Dobski is the best Political Science professor at Assumption College. He is very inspirational and willing to help his students during office hours. He is very engaging and great at giving lectures. Must take notes! Must be prepared for a lot of reading but Professor Dobski makes Political Science very interesting to all.

Professor Dobski gives great lectures that are very engaging. His class has gotten me much more into political science. He can become slightly intimidating when he gets into his lectures, but it is not a big deal. There is lots of reading, but you will learn a lot in the process and have fun too. He really cares about his students.

I received a good grade in his class (A-), but he is the worst person I have ever met. He is very rude, unprofessional, and several times has personally attacked me and other students. His emails are condescending and his office hours are scarce. (He yells at you if you don't go to Office Hours). If you want to keep your sanity, STAY AWAY.

I cannot say enough good things about Professor Dobski; easily my favorite teacher of the semester and made me want to pursue a degree in political science. He is a very tough grader on his term paper, midterm, and finals but if you study the material you can and will do well. His lectures are engaging and clear and I will be taking him again.

He can seem intimidating at first but I loved him! He's very hard but very understanding. You wouldn't want to take his classes from anyone else because you will get the best education from him. He is very understanding, as long as he thinks you are trying you'll be fine. He often admits he doesn't remember the last time he failed someone.

FANTASTIC PROF. 3 classes w/him and def one of my favorites! Yes his classes are difficult but if you put in the effort you'll be fine. PARTICIPATE IN CLASS. BE ON TIME. Go to him for help he'll come through. Ive gone to him w/papers & thesis statements & he is always so helpful. Slightly intimidating at first but over time its easy to talk w/him.

Prof. Dobski is extremely intelligent, although this gets to his head quite often. Challenge him and you will feel as though you are unable to win. Although you might know what he is talking about and you believe you know what you are talking about it is likely he will make you feel stupid. ZERO respect for students. Intelligent but difficult.

Dobski is the best Poli Sci Prof. at AssCo. He is hard,& you will take pages and pages of notes. But he is very fair, & very REAL. He knows his stuff & is not afraid to share his opinion. He loves to debate and honestly loves what he does. Prof like him are rare! Everything I learned is relavant in the real world! A must take for the AC experiance.

Professor Dobski is an interesting guy. At moments you get a compassionate seemingly friendly guy, then their are moments when he wants to murder you...his class has transformed him, he is now PEACE AND WAR. Do the readings and be active, keep him at Peace, although it is entertaining to see the war side and see him explode. Indispensable Class!

The comment below me is rather amusing. Yes, Professor Dobski is arrogant which can be mistaken for "rudeness." This quality, however, derives itself from his unbelievable passion for what he does: educate the minds and souls of his students. If you want a complete education from Assumption College, take his classes.

This guy knows his stuff. The class was difficult, however, it was enthralling. I am an A student however, I did not receive an A in the class. The thing that is tough about Prof. Dobski is whether you want to sacrifice a bit on your GPA to take his amazing classes...worth it in the end though.

Such an amazing class - got off to a rocky start, but it certainly ended well! I have so much more respect for Shakespeare, and will never look at his plays the same way again. Take Dobski!!
