He's the best. He's a gem. Very approachable. Works with each student so closely. If you don't get something, ask him. He will dissect the information for you as much as you need.

Honestly the best professor I've had. He is comparable to high school physics teachers (people who are actually qualified to teach unlike most professors). If you have a question he will take the time to explain it to you. He knows what he is doing and is able to explain the material effectively. This is a skill a lot of professors don't have.

Professor Miyano is a very good professor, one of the best professors I have had. His lectures are very clear, and he gives you a lot of practice examples in class. If you study your notes, the examples that we did in class, and do the homework you should be fine. This class comes with homework on Expert TA, but this is standard for Physics.

Dr. Miyano is an amazing lecturer - he is clear, direct, genuinely wants you to understand physics and will make himself available before and after class. Exams are very straightforward (review CW and HW). Hands down the best professor I have ever taken in BC. Highly recommended!!

Pay very close attention to what people are saying. No doubt he is a great lecturer. However, the exams are very difficult. I would not recommend taking this with another course like orgo. It will take up a lot of your time and the exams have few questions- if you mess up on one your grade is already bad. I recommend waiting another semester and ta

Professor Miyano is one of those rare teacher for whom teaching is an art, and not just a job. His lectures are incredibly organized, and his presentation is deliberate, engaging, and thought provoking. Make no mistake about it though, the class is a LOT of work.

Professor Miyano is amazing, he is so far the best professor i have ever taken in BC. He is tough when it comes to exams, a lot of homeworks, but as a professor hes the best, clear, direct and always wants you to improve and will do anything to help you gain knowledge. I would suggest him to anyone whos looking to take Physics 1 or 2

Professor Miyano is the best professor I've had thus far. Don't expect this class to be easy; it's physics, so know what you're signing up for. If you read what he tells you too and really try on the HW, you'll do great. It's not mandatory, but go to class. He will always do his best to help you do well. Also he curves and is a generous grader.

Not an easy professor but not really as hard as I thought. He tries to be as clear as possible with everything. The hws were hard but he does go over them in class. The tests were also a bit hard. The final exam had some laughably random questions that he never even taught us before. Good news is that he does curve the test scores. Average teacher.

Miyano is a not an easy professor. He explains things clearly. He uses the textbook for homework questions, which must be done. He gave three tests over the semester, spaced out so each test was not too hard. The subject is very tough, but Miyano makes in manageable. Be very happy if you have him for any physics course.

This guy knows what he is doing at least 98% of the time. The tests are on average hard considering the class average. I had modern physics with him and the only reason I got an A from him is because the problems on the test is my type of problems. They're 60%-80% derivation problems for my class. Definitely the best physics prof in this school.

Hard, not easy at all. You better know your Cal and PreCal. He does curve, but don't drill on it, you have to study hard as many before me said. He seems like a good guy to talk to when you have problems.

Miyano is awesome. He explains each subject very clearly. I never had to refer to the textbook to clarify a subject matter. He curves his tests massively and gives a ton of partial credit if you had the right idea. If you math skills are poor however, you will suffer in this class. You must know your high school algebra to succeed in this clas
