This class was one of my favorites in the program. He challenges you to think beyond a normal class, and ensure you will always go forth and seek the truth. Excellent teacher.

He is amazing. His class is stimulating and very good. He's hilarious and makes everyone laugh. Your whole grade is based on three papers, but he grades the easily, so it's not hard. Do the reading if you plan on participating in discussion.

Good choice for a Gen Ed. No tests or quizzes, just two 4-6 page papers and a 10-15 page final. One presentation where you present your own ethical theory and field questions. Laid back teaching style that allows students to get out of the class whatever they put in. Really enjoyed the class.

He is moderately abrasive, yet hilarious. The class is fun if other students are willing to debate.

some of his ideas on epistemology are unsound, but otherwise, good teacher.

There are 2 kinds of people in Intro courses: Those who get it and love it, and those who can't seem to wrap their heads around the concepts and write the course (and the professor) off as worthless. Colter is a solid prof. Listen and you'll have fun.

I thought he was a good prof, and a very lenient grader. I am so glad I took that philosophy class because I learned so much about different theories and such. Contrary to what these people are saying, I think he's a great teacher!

Lecture basis. The entire grade is based on 4 papers, one of which is 15-20 pages. Doesn't really explain anything and isn't helpful at all. Uses inane examples that don't really make sense.
