Interesting lectures, nice guy, and he can be pretty funny at times. Exams are okay, you just need to study more practical examples if there is math involved (he gives formulas on slides, but you need to do practice problems on your own). Getting the book is good if you want an A as it really helps clarify things.

Man this class was very interesting, and on top of that it was very easy. I wouldn't study for any exam and I would ace them. All you need to do is pay very close attention to lecture and write everything down. People who failed his class should drop out cause It was very easy Lol. I did great even though there were people who wouldn't shut up.

This class is basically all memorization, but there's a lot that you need to memorize-there's no way you'll do well if you cram the night before. He gives out pop quizzes, but does drop your lowest score, and he'll give you hints when they are. You should attend lecture bc pop quizzes, but also you need to attend for the test- he's hilarious tho.

Hes a great teacher but beware tests are TOUGH on animals no students heard of, take for cr/nc if able to, or take bio 100 online instead if you are looking for an A. This class is 4 tests and 8 pop quizzes with tests straight from his spoken lectures, often stuff not typed on his ppts. There is a slight curve though but no plus/minus scale

His lectures are pretty interesting. 8 pop quizzes throughout the semester. 4 non-cumulative exams and no cumulative final. The first exam is the easiest, but the next three contain highly scientific terms. Make sure you know the taxonomic groups and vocab for the exams. The textbook is only used for clarification, so I wouldn't recommend buying it

I do not know why people complain about this guy. He is really nice and gives entertaining lectures. Just review the power points and study guides for great grades on tests. I never studied for the pop quizzes and still easily got an A in the class. I recommend this class for those who need the GE.

Definitely way too hard for a level 100 GE class. He makes you memorize so much random stuff and the scientific terms for all the animals. NOT an easy A. And you have to come to class because he gives random pop quizzes which are sometimes hard as well. Would not recommend this class, there's much easier GEs out there!

This class was ridiculously hard. For a 101 class it was way harder than it should have been. The first test is the only easy one so make sure you get an A or a B on it to help your grade. The last 3 tests are all highly scientific terms. When i realized i was close to failing, i studied for the last test for 4 hours and got a B and passed the clas

Definitely a great guy. He's humorous, is passionate, and made class enjoyable. With that being said, make sure that you always go to class or else you will miss pop quizzes. And those add up for sure. The exams are pretty hard but the curve is amazing. I thankfully passed, and I know that if I put in more work I would've easily gotten an A or B.

5 question pop quizes. Tests are multiple choice. Should study vocab and taxonomy. Exams are tough if you only spend the weekend studying. Theres a slight curve on each exam. Sometimes he gives the answers to quizes. Don't plan on chatting with friends during class or he'll call you out forsureeee and possibly kick you out too. 7/10 class. It is eh

All his classes are lectures. Some can be tedious but he's a pretty funny guy overall. You have to study for tests but he gives a decent curve. He bumped up the grades at the end of the semester. He gives pop quizzes every 2 to 3 lectures so if you time it right you don't always have to go to class. The lectures are online as well.

Favorite teacher of my first semester. He made zoology very interesting and i was really entertained with his lectures. Tests are pretty straight forward. If you go to class you will get an easy B with no studying.

Dr. McClenaghan is hilarious and knows a lot about biology. He gives four exams with fifty multiple choice questions each. These can be hard since some questions are about things he only said once in class. But if you listen and take notes, you'll be fine. He also curves his class, so if you don't do well on the tests, you can still pass the class.

I LOVE Dr. McClenaghan! I would take any and every class he offers. He's very very smart and obviously likes what he does. 4 exams, non-cumulative. Scales exams so that people pass. 8 pop quizzes, but you'll know when they're coming. Go to class. Pay attention, take notes. Very generous. Cute old man. Love him. TAKE THIS CLASS.

Professor McClenaghan is very friendly and hilarious, he smiles at you when he sees you. In his class, there are 4 exams, which are all non-cumulative. There are also 8 pop quizzes, one is dropped so don't skip class and bring a scantron every class meeting. There will be a lot of memorization in this class so quizlet helps.

Great teacher. The entire class is lecturing but he makes it interesting and you can see the passion he has for biology. Pop quizzes during class but he drops the lowest score. Take good notes and the class is easy to get an A in.

I would take any of the classes McClenaghan has to offer. He made BIO 100 so much fun. In a large lecture of 500 students he managed to remember my name. Sit in the front row and take good notes of lectures. All of the exams come from lectures. He gives pop quizzes, and drops the lowest grade. Non-cumulative exams. McClenaghan Pozos every day.

He is one of my favorite professors so far. He's HILARIOUS, but not afraid to call a student out if they're talking. You can tell he knows what he's talking about and cares for his students. You do need to study in order to get an A though, but I had mono and managed to still get an A, so it can't be that hard

He is a decent professor, not great, but not bad either. There are 4 tests, none are cumulative. No final. There are 8 pop quizzes that can make a difference in your grade, so attend class. He drops lowest quiz. He can be funny at times which breaks up the pretty boring lectures. He always gives a 5 min break in the middle of class which is nice.
