Excellent instructor, but no patience for jokers, slackers or disruptors. Keep up with the work, pay attention, and you will do very well. Always available for questions in office hours, tutoring lab.

She always make mistakes when we are taking the quiz.><. make me confuse everytime. and my class is too long. from 1:30pm to 3:40pm every Mon and Wed. I really want to drop the class, however, I've already paid the tuition. she thinks that we will understand her explaination clearly. actually. not all the students. maybe some of them need more help in her class. but she never realizes...

i had it summer quarter so it went fast and this was like my 3rd time taking this math level, and i passed, and actually learned something, she was very encouraging even when i fell behind, and is a very nice, undersatnding teacher; really helped me out

With a quiz everyday I finally learned how to do my homework regularly. We could use the homework for the quiz. The problems were worded exactly as the homework problems. Math isn't so bad after all I found, as long as I had enough time to study and asked questions in class.

horrible teacher ever! nice lady but is too fast-paced and doesnt know how to explain or be helpful to students. i was in there for an hour and left class. 3 other students left too. now what does that tell you. if you can avoid her, do so!!

Not for wimps, Balfe's math course seems geared for those who plan to continue onto university or state college. Know that she gives a daily quiz on the previous class'homework after she has explained it. If you have problems, she offers one office hour a week, but you have to keep up to succeed.

I agree that she taught at a very fast pace. She didn't even really take the time to see if anyone was keeping up with her. She is not really prepared for class. She knows a lot about math but I don't know if she is suited to be a math teacher.
