Comment:

Professor Samuels definitely knows her stuff and isn't bad at communicating to that her stundent. Her tests are quite hard, but do drop two. First one is automatic and the second one replaced by a paper. She gives out extra credit too!!

Comment:

This course was not difficult. We took three exams and then a final exam (not cumulative). You can drop one of the first, three tests and you can do an extra-credit paper to take the place of your 2nd lowest test (I didn't bother..too much). Just read the text (each chapter twice) take a few notes and you'll be fine. Oh, do the case- bonus pts!!

Her tests can be kind of tricky but she lets you drop the lowest and she also gives an optional research paper that can replace your second lowest. She gets really annoyed when people text or talk in class but overall her lectures are interesting. She will often skip entire chapters because we spend so much time on discussions.

Hard class. You really have to study.4 test, lowest drops, second lowest replaced by a research paper..30 extra point if you talk in the class and get called for any cases..she has been teaching 35 yrs and only 3 people got 100 she said, YOU DO THE MATH.

not too bad. drops the lowest test. replaces the second lowest with a research paper (really easy, def DO IT!) study like crazy and make sure you do the case study for 10 point extra credit. nice and helpful at office hours. oh and def do the appeals on exams

Samuels is I think a decent professor. Her tests are almost vertabim whats in the book and notes. Just make sure you pay attention and WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN. Also, read the chapter AFTER class and the class will be simple. Easy A in my opinion. Very little work effort put into this class and you get extra credit for raising your hand in class.

I regret that I took her class. I worked my ass hard and still got a "C". This class destroyed my GPA and I used to be an "A" student. She tried to act knowledgeably and make exams really hard and non sense. avoid her if you can.

I'm not gonna lie I slept through almost every lecture. All you need to do is read the book over and over again. There are 4 tests (one can be replace by an extra credit project), she calls on you twice to explain a court case (be ready and dont screw it up) and she gives a little extra credit. I got an A by studying my ass off.

She is OK. A liitle anal about where you sit (you have to sit in the same seat all semester) though a good teacher. Exams are fair and cover what is in the book & class. Overall...you could do much worse!

Teacher talks about family and connects it to topics covered. She seemed mean only because she expected a professional atmosphere from us students. Anyway there is 4 exams...the final has to be taken but one of the first three can be replaced by an internet research project. Overall a good class

The first few classes i thought she was hard and mean, but no, she is nice and her class was faily easy..gives you over 60 points extra crediit. I actually was interested in class. I felt like i was in Law School. Take this professor!

Prof. Samuels might seem hard in the beginning but if you go to class, participate, and keep up with the lecture notes by following up information in the book you will get at least a B. She is always available to meet with students and i thought the class was helpful.

I thought she was a great professor. The exams were straight forward and right out of the book, if you read the book you will get a good grade on the exams. Attendance is mandatory if you want a participation grade. She brought up a lot of personal situations with her family to explain how the law works. Her class is extremely easy. Take her.

Exams are tough, but she does have fairly easy extra credit assignments that help a lot. Some of which can replace a bad exam grade. As long as you talk to her, do the extra credit assignments and come to class...you should pass with a C if you do poorly on exams.

In all actuality, you cannot fail this class no matter how horrible you do on the test. A's are possible, but B's are even possible without even trying. The material will need to be read to gain knowledge of the subject matter, but attend her class to get literal translations of the material. Extra Credit Opportunities are present, so be prepared.

Samuels is knowledgable and reasonable. She provides numerous opportunities for extra cred. Her tests are not easy but this is business law not dance so you need to study. Read the book, go to class occasionally, and study you can get an A no problem. You don't need to be a genius but effort is absolutely necessary

1st off, you have assigned seats like you're in elementary school. she takes attendance. she takes about 20 min to go through 1 slide. her exams are HARD and CONFUSING- but she does give out an internet research project towards the end of the semester to replace one exam grade which helped my grade a lot. avoid taking her if you can.
