Dr Macdonald was a wonderful instructor. She had so many insightful and interesting stories to share, which makes class much more personal. Her assignments were also unique and the final project was completely led and designed by the students. I loved having her a prof and will miss her now that she has retired.

Same as 478, but I can't believe that person wrote what she did. Yes, it's a tough class in the summer, but prof has a right to expect students to show up to class. She ALWAYS went over the homework, and bent over backwards to help people understand. She is incredibly nice. TAKE HER!

Do not take 478 in the summer,too much material to comprehend. Offended by 4 absences; she will take it out on you even if most are for legitimate reasons. Tries to trick you on quizzes/tests. Never gives back graded homework to help students learn from their mistakes. Pretends to be nice, but can be very rude. Learned more from the textbook.

I can't believe the person who said that she is more consumed with bragging.... Yes, she does talk a lot and show pictures from her many fascinating travels, but in a course that is all about multiculturalism and interacting with people from different cultures, do you think this might be relevant? She is one of the brightest, kindest profs ever!

While she is a tough teacher, I believe she is a still a fair one. Sometimes politics get in the way of educational content in her a few of her classes, but overall the classes are very helpful, interesting, and educational. A+
