Comment:
This is the worst class I have ever taken in my college years. This is no exaggeration either. The professor is terrible. This flip module method of teaching is ridiculous and should be reverted back to the traditional teaching style. This wasn't an online class but it should have been labeled as one. You won't be prepared for Calc 2.

Never again. The class wasn't advertised as online but that's all it was. Professor doesn't lecture, you have to come to class AND watch online lectures (by a diff. prof) on your own time. Waste of my time and money. Homework was online using calc-portal (read: a joke) The professor is hard of hearing and forgets hearing aid every other class.

I have no idea why people rated him well.horrible teacher. Lectures are online videos(that aren't even his) that you have to watch before class(even tho it's not online). And then u have to sit in class and do worksheets while he talks to students about his weekend. I wish I would have seen the red flags the first day. He is nice though...

Paul doesn't lecture. Students turn in questions on the reading and then in class he gives rambling, sometimes incomprehensible answers to these questions, in no particular order and interspersed with stories from his youth. I don't feel like I learned all that much, but on the upside, it was a pretty easy A. Nice guy, pretty terrible teacher.

Paul is extremely passionate about what he is teaching. He is somewhat unorganize but he knows his stuff. Full of jokes and is very willing to help his students. His materials were hard but I everyone I talked to got an A in his class that I took.

Paul makes positive informal environment in class and tries to make it interesting and enjoying. Most HWs are preparing presentations using precalculus and basic calculus math models and writing some class review journals. Nice instructor!

seriously, if you want to get an easy A in calc, then this is the way to go. Hell, you get to retake the tests twice, and if you get an A on the final you get an A in the class. Oh, and you get to retake the final, with notes from the old exam. need i say more?

Sweet Jesus that was an easy class, if you don't get an A you probably didn't want one. I got creamed in 252 though. As another rating said if you take one of his classes make sure you take the whole series from him or you're screwed.

Doesn't bother to lecture, though it's almost worse when he does because he's so confusing. Yes, he's an easy A, but if that's what you're going for make sure you take him for the whole series -- you won't be prepared for 251 taught by anyone else. I will never take a class from him again.
