The class is very evenly spaced out with assignments, with an assignment being due each week along with weekly quizzes over readings. She gives you quiz questions early, so its not horrible. There is also a semester long media literacy research project. It seemed scary at first, but was easy once we got into it.

Without Dr. Messineo's help I would've dropped out. I gave up on myself and fell into that no one cares how I do rut. Dr. Messineo caught on and refused to let me give up. She gave me the encouragement I needed to get back in and do something useful with the opportunity I was given.

It's a very interesting class, there is a main group project that builds up to the end of the year with small individual and group projects incorporated into it. She is a very cool professor and is there to help you whenever you need it.

If you have a chance to take class with Dr. M, DO IT! She is such an amazing woman who genuinely cares about her students and their success. Definitely my favorite professor I have had here at BSU.

This was an Immersive Learning course, so it was more difficult than others, but she helps as much as she can. My groups project was more difficult than others because of our community partner and she tried her hardest to make it easier on us and was blunt with our partner. She is a great teacher and provides excellent help as long as you let her.

Awesome teacher!! All you have to do is go to class, take notes, do the study guide and you will get a good grade easy. She gives so many extra credit opportunities and other opportunities to do well in the class. She's so helpful and nice. I loved everything about this class.

I really enjoyed her! She is really enthusiastic about teaching. Its pretty easy if you go to class and study. She gives a good amount of extra credit, and easy quizzes every thursday! I didn't even study one bit for one test and got a B!

I loved this class. Prior to this class I had no interest in sociology and now I'm actually considering it for a minor. She teaches so you feel like your in a class of 20 people rather than 200. I highly recommend you take soc 100 from prof. messineo.

Dr. Messineo will warn you at the beginning of this class that it's much different than her SOC 100 class, which is awesome. In 333, she assigns a lot of reading and gives rather irrelevant lectures that have little to do with what's on the test. I felt like my knowledge of the media wasn't much greater after taking the class. The class sucks.
