Great guy, Go on his field trip! He comes off a bit scary but make it through the first two weeks and you'll realize he was just trying to weed out the lazy ones. Heart of gold and funny. Keep your phone in your pocket where it belongs and you will enjoy yourself. Also you might develop a phobia of planes either temporarily or permanently. cheers!

Hes great. Take any noted you can but he only tests you on chapters straight out of the book. Don't sleep in his class he will call you out and probably fail you. Go to class and be interested to learn and he will respect you. All his tests are multiple choice. 5 tests 5 quizzes so you have a good shot at getting a good grade. Each test is one chpt

I learned so much from this class about the environment. Pay attention and take good notes because he doesn't put many notes on the board. He does do some lectures from the text which is great if you have a highlighter. Would definitely take again. Love the dry sense of humor!

Great professor he's very helpful. The day before any test he will ask if there is any questions about anything and will go over anything you would like which is extremely helpful. His discussions in class are both funny and intellectual. You will need the textbook! This is one of those classes where you won't pass without it.

Great professor! He makes this class interesting by relating everything to airplanes. The class trips are awesome! The videos that he shows are helpful in understanding the course. I really enjoyed his class even though i was always quiet! If you don't study or listen to his lectures you most likely wont pass because everything is on the test.

This is a class that teaches you about what is really going on in the world. "it's not negativity, it's reality." Professor is very knowledgable and more than willing to discuss any relevant topic in his lectures. If you're excited to learn and enjoy documentaries you'll love the class and hearing the professor's point of view(+ get a good grade).

Amazing Professor and a really down to earth guy. He talks about the harsh truths involved in environmental work, which made me like him even more. Not much Lab work and lectures cover more of the ideas and real world applications (both of which are on the tests!) of the information read in the text. Just listen, READ!!!, and think a bit, thats all

Best Professor i've ever had at NCC, really makes you view the world differently. The exams are really tricky you need to know your stuff but everything is in the book. If you're looking for an easy grade and don't care about the environment and how you live this class is not for you.

Take his class and he will plant seeds of awareness in your mind and will. I always think back to having him Fall'11 and now spreading awareness, pursuing Environmental, eating non GM food, seeing govt decision$, concerned over honeybees and seeing the world with respect, starting with his class. great teacher. passionate about the subject. No homeworks tests are from the textbook, not science heavy at all. read the chapter assigned and ul be fine. Professor Simone is simply the best there is. He's extremely well-educated and knows his material. He's got some of the craziest stories you'll ever hear, and he's hilarious. All of his exams were directly from the book & notes given in class. I'd take his courses a hundred times over if I could. I highly recommend him to everyone! He's awesome!

Take this class it's the best option for a lab science screw biology he gives 6 exams all MC. Just read the chapter he says you have to read & you will do fine. I took him during my last semester at Nassau I went from an F to a B just by getting it together. So I warn you do the reading come to class & enjoy a life changing semester with him.
