He doesn't answer questions very well in class, so you have to LIVE in this guy's office hours. He's funny and sweet, but respect is very important to him. Pay attention in all classes or you fail. Take really detailed notes, then go over anything that confused you with him later. Lots of work--more grading + more practice--better grades.

He cares a lot about detail. It is important that you pay attention to how he does the problem and what to include in each problem. He tells you exactly what is on the test, but the final seemed to be shocking. The final was much more complicated than the tests. I did not like how he sent everything by email. Nice man, but not the best teacher.

Honestly one of the worst classes I've ever had to take. Grading isn't based on ability to do math, it's about how pretty you can make your paper. Everything is sent by email and is confusing. Dates are constantly moved, awful class overall.

If you have not taken Calculus, you are in for a rough ride. I was able to get an A because I already understood the material. You must do everything he says or suffer. I lost 28pts on a test for not doing the problem the way he wanted it. Even though I was right and even corrected his key since his way made him wrong.

I really love his classes. He has lots of opportunity to earn bonus marks. He loves talking about Math and encourages students to call him at home for help. He is a great professor!

I really liked Bankhead, but if you haven't taken calculus before his class you may be screwed. He moves very fast and does not do a very good job of explaining things in class, but if you meet with him 1 on 1 he does a better job. He gives lots of extra credit. However, I don't think that his class helps students for future calculus classes.

There is a lot of group work which is not cool. But he is more than willing to help any student at any time. My goup was horrible and I just talked to him about it and he put me in a new group! He gives his home phone number out and will meet students on campus on the week night/weekends if they need help on homework or projects.
