Class was extremely boring to sit through but so easy. The only homework you will ever get is occasionally a one page paper. He assigns readings but will never check to see if you did it and you don't need to. Midterm is open book/open note and the final is take home. Impossible to do badly in this class.

Start off on the right foot with this guy and you will do fine. Sure the lectures may get a bit long/boring but his class is worth it because of the few assignments and open book/note midterm and final. Loads of experience/knowledge definitely worth taking his class

This man is ridiculous- he resorts to scare tactics to keep his students awake (aka- randomly calling on you and then making you feel inferior and stupid for not knowing exactly what he is getting at.) He is pretty rude and although he has a lot of experiencing and is an interesting man, he is not a good teacher and will stress you out.

mass media. He assigns too much reading, thinks he said things in class that he never said, and assigns extra viewing and assignments that take hours of time and you have to go way out of your way to complete them. He lectures only off of powerpoints for a full 2.5 hrs with no break. i wouldn't recommend this class to my least favorite person.

are you kidding me... did you see these kids saying they didnt even try and got A's... I mean... why wouldnt you take a class that you can easily get an A in... this class was chill. and I missed like have the class and made up a lame excuse about fam. emergency and still got an A after handing in the assignment like 6 weeks late! TAKE THIS CLASS!

ahahah. the class is really easy, take notes and thats it. absolutely no homework EXCEPT the midterm and final are SOOOO HARD. the questions are totally unrelated to what was discussed in his lectures. thankfully their open note open book and the final is take home. but seriously its hard.

He can be nice but he can also be brutal. He's not a very good writer himself. He criticized every single premise I had; I could barely even get the foundation of any of my ideas approved. I just don't think he's suitable to be a professor, but he is decent.

He is a very interesting guy out of class, and cool to talk to out the business, but his class is awful. If you have to take it, try not to take a 3 hour version. He spends 2 hours talking about how he or his step dad did almost everything in film in the last 40 years, and his tests are rediculous

This guy is a jerk. He is arrogant, constantly telling irrelevant anecdotes about his success in various media; he is completely unprofound yet manages to make poorly written, obscure tests; he seems to take pleasure in giving students poor grades. Avoid.

Dr. Halperin is not clear on assignments/tests-the lectures are tedious and his format ridiculous.In class,his ego gets in the way of his teaching and he constantly makes derogatory comments (I wouldn't even recommend him to my "enemies.")
