I took this same course but with Casey Allen as my instructor, but the whole class was based on Mike Kuby's lectures and assignments. Two words to describe this course: Long and Tedious. The class focused on hour-long lectures along with assignments (some very tedious) followed by chapter quizzes. This class takes TIME.

Took the class online, Bunch of assignments, and quizzes. Quizzes are very difficult, you have to memorize lectures and book, but still may not help. Be prepared to spend hours on work, he does drop 2 lowest quizzes and assignments, but is hard to get A or A+

I took this class online, & he was very helpful. I had zero interest in the topic going into this course, but I actually learned a lot. It has a lot of busy work, but he drops 2 of your lowest tests and assignments so it's easy to get an A if you do the work.

Class was Geography of China. He is definitely not an expert in this field. He makes alot of errors and much of his data is from the year 2000. He can be boring. He is a fair grader. The class is easy. I recommend him if u just need a credit, not if you really want to learn the subject material.

Great online class. It's easy to get an A if you stay on top of the online homework, read the online book, and listen to his online lectures.

Horrible. I took the class since everyone else said it was "easy". Its not. This 100 level class has more work than my 300/400 level classes! The subject is beyond boring and you have to put a lot of time into the class. If your wanting an easy elective look else where. I would NEVER recommend this course to anyone.

I took this class online in Fall 2008. The class was pretty easy if you can keep up with all of the work. The book was also online. There were several assignments to do each week, along with a weekly quiz. Kuby also had powerpoints, with his voice describing what the powerpoints mean.

The class is relatively easy and Dr. Kuby is such a nice and helpful and just pleasant guy. However, if you don't have a lot of interest in the subject, the class can get real boring real quick.

Dr. Kuby is a great guy. He teaches basic statistics well, but sometimes he confuses himself and his students when trying to explain a "complex" topic (even though none of the topics were complex, really). His exams are time-consuming: you have to know your material to do well on them. But him and his TA grade the exams fairly.

Kuby teaches stats fairly well, but sometimes can be confusing when he's explaining the concepts, and takes quite a while to explain something that should only take 5-10 minutes to explain. Makes small math errors often which can get annoying, but overall he's a good prof. Hard tests.

Covers the topics well, wants to help you learn if you show some desire to learn. Seems intimidating sometimes but he's actually a nice guy. Expects you to be mature and do the work, and if you do you'll do well. Likes to use cliches alot. :)

Awesome teacher, easy class. It's one of those ones where you just have to read, go to class, and do the short assignments and you not only will learn, you'll have an A. Lectures put me to sleep once in a while, but this is one class that everyone should be able to pass. Note: Vocabulary is a necessary thing to learn. Don't learn it, don't pass.

Really nice guy, but the class is pretty boring. He wrote the book, so almost everything on his quizzes are in the book. All your homework is based on a CD, which you either love or hate, depending on your learning style. I pulled an A-
