Comment:

Patrick Hill seriously is great. He tries to make the class a warm environment and jokes a lot (he curses a lot too btw). He also is very knowledgeable. We have 3 major and one introductory speech and he gives great feedback. Be prepared for feedback in front of the whole class and he is very honest but never disrespectful. Overall great class.

Nice and funny. The only thing is he will roast you in front of the class. Not great for social anxiety. However he does care about you and even if you mess up he will not give you that bad of a grade.

Great professor he really cares. First lecture was about anxiety and he showed he really cared. I came in thinking I was horrible at public speaking but this class showed me Im not so bad. I could've gotten an A but every single one of my speeches were over time cause I talk to much. Practice your speeches and you'll def pass.

Good guy. Funny. His grading isnt all that tough. Do what he says, follow the outlines and practice your speeches. Yes he does roast you in front of the class after your speech but its constructive criticism. No ones speech is perfect. Take him if you can!

1. He is really an experienced web developer because our final group project is edited by one of our members and we cannot run it on our computers, he only took a few minutes to fix it for us which honestly cost us tons of time to find the bug. Really impressive. 2 Hilarious and open minded. We students can choose whatever we can learn. Cool!!

He is hilarious, but such a strict grader. After you give your speech he tells you every single thing that was wrong in front of the whole class. The final essay is v difficult

Hill doesn't explain things well. You could probably teach yourself this stuff at home if anything. Gives off a vibe that he doesn't care but then when you present, he is pretty harsh considering you have no experience whatsoever with giving speeches. Gets distracted very easily so expect speeches to get pushed back and for everything to pile up.

Professor Hill was the best professor I had this semester. He cared about everyone in class and made everyone feel comfortable. For a public speaking class, there is nothing to worry about if you are nervous. He walks you through your speech if you have trouble. Gives great advice and things to work on and tells great funny stories throughout class

he's the best professor. he's hilarious and his class is never boring. the only downside to him would probably be that he gets really defensive about a lot of things. if he doesnt personally agree with something in your speech, the rest of it won't matter because he's offended by that one opinion.

DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOU HATE PUBLIC SPEAKING! after your speech he roasts you in front of the whole class on what you did wrong. he expects you to memorize 5 minute speeches, you are allowed notecards but if you look at them, he marks you off. he is so ruthless to grading people who are not comfortable with public speaking. DONT TAKE HIM!!!!!

Comment:

Although attendance is mandatory, Hill's way of teaching always makes you want to go to class. If you are somebody who has a hard time speaking in public, I suggest you take Professor Hill as he makes you comfortable before presenting. The class, as a whole, has a great vibe which in turn will make it easier to present. So far, I have only got A+s!

Patrick Hill is not a good teacher at all. He's very unfair when he grades your speech. Do not take him if your not a into public speaking. This is the worst class I have ever token.. please don't take him...
