As long as you pay attention you should pass the class. If you need help he is very helpful. Ive had him for a couple classes and as long as you just do what he does you should get an A.

An easy A. Gives you material which thoroughly prepares you for the test. He's a cool dude, and super chill but is a little awkward and doesn't really know how to get the class inspired. You will be ok with this class, the only problem will be ignorant classmates.

Dr. Yarnell was a very good professor, he was straight to the point and made sure his students understood the criteria. Sometimes a bit abrupt but it didn't effect the over all class. Make sure to take advantage of mock exams though, they are literally the same format as the actual exams with most of the same questions. Easy A!

You won't have many chances to prove your knowledge in Yarnell's class. He also isn't very clear in his teaching, and just touches on a subject during the lecture. Yet, he tests deeper than he teaches. Be prepared to seek a tutor, and many outside of class learning platforms. If you are diligent, and work hard, you can still get an A.

Prof. Yarnell is a great teacher. I honestly don't understand everyone saying he's a tough grader. I had him for symbolic logic, and it was one of my favorite classes. He's great at explaining these concepts, and he's incredibly fair and willing to help. His class is fairly challenging, but if you show up, it shouldn't be too hard to get an A.

I really like Dr. Yarnell & will be taking upper division Symbolic Logic with him. As a philosophy major I found the material interesting, but it can be hard to grasp. If you attend class and genuinely pay attention, you'll do fine. He's clear and the lectures are easy to learn from. You don't have to take the final if you get an A on every quiz.

DO NOT TAKE!! I am currently enrolled in Yarnells philosophy class and it is by far the worst thing i have ever done. His grading sucks and constantly marks correct answers false. Does not help you understand the material. BY FAR WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. IF YOU LIKE HAVING GOOD GRADES AND TEACHERS DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!

Took philosophy with Yarnell as a freshman and I had no idea what I was doing. I never missed class. I just didn't understand.... ask questions (truth tables, illogical fallacies and logical fallacies. Valid and in valid conclusions)

A lot to keep up on so it is good to attend lecture even though he does not take attendance. He is very willing to help you if you ask for it, he will even let you re- take quizzes. Great professor!

I don't like Philosophy after this class. Lots of rhetorical arguments. I didn't understand truth Tables and fallacies.

One of the best instructor I've ever had. He is straight forward, clear, and helpful. He does an excellent job on explaining concepts that you have trouble understanding.

Professor Yarnell is a nice guy, but his lectures are so incredibly boring. The material for the class is sometimes difficult to understand and he never gives clear explanations. He is willing to help, but will just reiterate what he already said, which is not actually helpful. Showing up is important, but not the end of the world if you miss.

Yarnell is very willing to answer questions and walk students through areas of difficulty. He knows the material inside and out. In fact, he wrote the textbook. He allowed us to retake a quiz if we didn't get an A so he's a pretty relaxed guy.

Mr. Yarnell is a laid-back professor who expects nothing less than students who are willing to do the simple homework, and ask questions. The content itself can be tricky to grasp if you're not attentive during lecture, but other than that, it's a pretty easy course.

This class was very confusing. The reading didn't help and if you ask for clarification he'll just repeat the reading- so no help there, he just says get tutored to get help. In the formulas that you have to do even if a line is out of place- your marked off! This class has no math in it but it sure seems like it does.

he doesn't teach out the book. You can't find help except from him because he teaches everything diferently. when asked to explain things all he does is give you a different problem... im over here like "if i couldnt get this problem what makes you think ill magically get this one." ughhh
