Best teacher I've had so far in college. He is interesting and very friendly. He goes over stuff to make sure you remember it and enlightens the class on his own life that relates to the subject and makes it easier to learn. On his tests if most of the class misses a certain question he'll remove it and still give you credit if you answer it right.

Comment:

Dr. Beckmann is a pleasant guy, very friendly. How he framed the class was really interesting and kept me interested. The assigned readings were not from textbooks, but from "pop psychology" type of books, which were refreshing and fun to read.

He is amazing. He is open about his mental health struggles, which is so refreshing. His class was wonderful, and shed light on some things that I was even going through. He is willing to help in any way he can, and I would say his Brain and Human Behavior class was my fav that I have EVER taken.

Comment:

Beckmann was a great teacher, if you ever had questions he was glad to help. His comments were useful with the final project. Two tests and a final with one project for the class. Easiest Research methods offered and one of the easiest A's I've ever gotten. You don't need to read the book and test questions are given to you in advance.

4 Essay tests & he posts possible essay questions on Blackboard prior to the test. Lectures on basically everything you read in the book, which is pointless. The book is more helpful than lectures so buy it (test ?s are based on concepts in txtbook). Easy-ish tests, but boring class everyday. He likes to stick to his PPT & not get off topic.

He is a very nice guy but his tests are very hard. He doesn't give study guides..he just tells you to read over the slides. Easy grader for labs but very articulate in grading for tests. They are all essay.

A great teacher. He goes through all the material very well and he is always willing to help. The tests are straight forward to the information. I really enjoyed this class and definitely enjoy his teaching.

He has good powerpoints, which are availible on blackboard, and explains things clearly. If you take notes and ask questions when needed, the class is easy. There are four semi difficult papers, but he is not a very hard grader.

Dr. Beckmann is intense, but doesn't really teach the information. He simply reads his slideshows to you and it can get kind of old. I didn't really learn much form him. However, he is nice and helpful when you have questions.

Best psychology teacher ever. He knows a lot about what he is teaching and makes class very enjoyable. His tests are a little challenging, but if you study the powerpoints that he lectures with you will be fine.

Love this teacher! Very nice, loves the subject, has lots of fun examples, etc.... The class is super easy if you take notes and he often curves the tests, or throws out bad questions. Very open to suggestions. Take this guy!

Very nice guy. Starts class with silent prayer. Good powerpoint lectures every day. He counts absences. The tests are a little hard, but if you're always in class you'll do fine... if you miss a class you might be in trouble if you can't get really good notes from a classmate.
