Comment:

Professor Mason is both skilled and knowledgeable in his field. If you have questions, he can usually help you. For 186, however, he rarely taught. Nearly all material was self-taught using tutorials and learning software. He may be more involved with other courses, but 186 is, largely, a self-taught course.

Comment:

He knows more about the work place than anyone in the department, and knows how to teach his experience. Some days he will act like he cares and will explain everything. If you catch him on a bad day stay away. Will show you how to do things but only the basis ways then expect you to work hard for his grade. Overall amazing on good days.

His classes are well organized and he speaks with great clarity. A lot of teachers in the department have no manufacturing experience. This is something Mason exceeds in having. Due to his "real world" experience, he is able to explain things and prepare us for when we are released into our career. No other teacher prepares us for that.

iv had sam for several classes and is one of my favorite professors. he is easy to understand and educates one what the work force is in demand for...over all pretty knowledgeable on what he teaches (considering all my other professors come to him fro help using the software and machines)

We sat in a computer lab all day doing MasterCamU. The program is stressful and confusing. And when we took it home to do homework we had to find most of the problems out on our own like we have been using the program all of our life.. Sucked going back and trying to find problems out with a program that the class just started learning to use.

Man...this seems to be fun. He is a really cool guy but has issues with people who don't prepare or come to class late. He says, "He is preparing us for the real world"...he has to remember...we are still college students. The real world can wait.

Do not take iet 120 online for an easy gen ed. It is loads of work. It has made me do more work than calc 3 somehow. He comes off pompus even online. He takes off too much for projects. I rly dont think he realizes people have major courses & gen eds will never be more important than those dont get fussy when ppl spend less time in them.

He was a great teacher...just thought he was above everyone else. If you go to class, you will at least pass with a B. He gave tons of bonus points out and if you attend all classes, you get an attendance bonus. I would recommend face to face class and not online, for I have heard he can be quite difficult.

Mason is an alright teacher. However is has a very smart tone with everyone. It is just his personality I believe. He is fun and cool though. In this class all we do are powerpoints in class and then we have quizzes to do online every week.But they are easy and u can use your book.There r no tests, but you have activities that r time consuming

This guy has issues. Sam has taken what should be an easy class and turned it into hell. You can work your butt off on a project and he won't give you any credit, got ripped off many projects. He's a total Jerk, he has no sympathy and I honestly think he enjoys making people suffer on their grades. His lectures will put sleep, has a big ego problem
