Comment:

Graded on the exams and the attendance of a play. Take good notes in class and you'll pass the exams! This class was so interesting and fun, and he is my favorite teacher so far even though I'm not a theatre major.

Comment:

This class was pretty easy, but Paul had a really laid back attitude about it. He loves to joke and make you laugh, and he has a lot of stories about his own theater experience. Just show up and take a few notes and you'll pass pretty easily. The class does require that you go to two NMU plays.

The best professor I've ever had! He engages so well with the class by telling stories of his own experiences as a Broadway actor and they are hilarious. He is always acting/singing when necessary. He also wants you to succeed and have it be your easiest class so he tells you exactly what will be on the exam. Show up to class and take good notes.

Paul is hilarious! Keeps class fun. Take good notes, study, and you will pass exams in 5 minutes with an A. No textbook required. He doesn't take attendance (but you'll fail if you don't go). Study ALL notes! He's fun to bump into after class in the hallway! Loves what he teaches and tells funny stories. Highly recommend!

Really fun professor, only had to review notes right before an exam, final is not cumulative. Tells about personal experience in theatre which was cool, lectures usually got out early and test days were only about 20 min long. Go to lecture and you'll be able to pass the class with an A. :)

It's early in his class, but he's a great teacher. He's probably a better teacher than actor. The reason why i say that, is because he understands acting and what it's all about. He tries to bring us into his "world." I like being taken places outside of the box, if you enjoy an interesting class, take Intro to Theater.

Comment:

Lectures are fun and he's good at holding your attention. Do well on exams because there is nothing else to offset your grade. Exams are a little difficult simply because it is not all MC (but when I say difficult I mean an A- for me). His lectures are thorough so reading the text isn't really necessary if you need to save some money on books.

Paul is the most upbeat and energetic teacher I have ever had. I loved having a class with him and can't wait to take another. If you get a chance to take one of his classes don't pass it up. You will have a lot of fun.
