I wouldn't even consider this class a hybrid course. We only had 4 or 5 online quizzes which were super easy and 5 inclass quizzes which were somewhat difficult but not too bad. She assigns a lot homework but gives us weeks to complete it. Don't even buy the textbook, it's like $100+ you only have to buy the access code which is around $40

Grabiel is such a passionate professor. Go to class, everything on her tests is in her notes. The class consists of a 15 question quiz each day you come in since it's a hybrid class. She gives you study guides & lets you use a 5x7 notecard on every quiz. There are no papers for this class. Do the work & online assignments & you'll pass with an A!

the most passionate prof I've ever met. She bring a lot of jovial energy that brings life to a possibly dull subject. I wouldn't consider it an easy A but definitely not hard. Offers EC via attending Student tutoring session which happen weekly, so if you have the time to attend you can stack TONS of EC points while simply doing guided HW sessions

Online Program used to take tests is a majority of grade (nothing the internet can't help with) There are at least 3/4 packets that also play a big part in your grade (felt like high school work)A few in class quizzes is where I lost the most points. (Bring a notecard she may allow it) Lectures were BORING. as much as she tried. Get etext only.

She's a great person in general but not the best teacher for Geography. She's over the place most of the time with her lectures and assignments, and not clear in what to study and takes notes for exams. I admit she gives ppl study guides but when it comes down to exams, it's completely different than what she had provided. Overall avoid is possible

Grabiel is a great person, but not a great teacher. The hybrid style didnt allow enough learning time and made the structure of the class confusing. Most points come from long online quizzes that feel like busy work, as well as the midterm and final essay. She will tell you beforehand about any "pop" quizzes. She also offers a lot of extra credit.

This was a hybrid class. Ms Grabiel was helpful and willing to work with me when I had to miss class for work a couple times. The subject matter was interesting. The online exams take a long time but they are online so... I got through them without much problem. There is an essay-type assignment that I had to pull an all nighter for. She was good.

There's only an hour and half of sometimes unclear lectures per week, so you need to have the motivation to actually read the chapters she assigns. Her lectures alone are NOT going to give you the tools you need to ace her class. If you have the time, attend the SI sessions that are available. It helps clarify things and you even get extra credit.

She's a really kind teacher but her lectures are confusing & she is always all over the place. The online assignments are very long but easy. She offered EC if we went to SI where we would complete EC assignment or take home exams. Only had three quizzes but she lets us know when. Didnt really study and I ended up with an A+ so Im not complaining.

Professor. Grabiel is sweet and wants all student know about the world. The actual class was like boring to the hell. She is unclear and a super tough grader on essay cuz she is def picky on detail thing which can make your grade go down :( hybrid class mostly online quizzes, few pop quiz, one essay, few other assignments. p.s STUDY YOURSELF!

This class is really hard, shes really sweet and approachable and has good office hours but shes just not super clear on what she says a lot and the tests she gives are extremely confusing. An A is obtainable if you work hard and study, but if your a lazy person this is not the class for you.

Haha, she is a GREAT person and I do believe she teaches well! However, this is not an easy A. The quizzes are long (but not timed) and some of the questions are pretty tricky. Plan for a few hours to take the quizzes if you're looking for a perfect score. Class is interesting and she is very sweet and connects with students.

Mrs. Grabiel is a very nice lady and will tell you some of her funny stories, but this class is a lot of work. If you are looking for an easy A, this is not the class for you. Long online quizzes and animations, long take home test, quizzes in class and three essays due THE SAME DAY. too much work i know its hybrid but still :\

Professor Grabiel is a very nice lady that really wants you to succeed. She will help you if you seek help, but it is not an easy A. There is a lot of work to do. I took it thinking it would be an easy GE class and I was wrong. I still passed with a good grade, but had to work at it. Overall, if you wanna learn, I recommend taking her!

Very easy hybrid course, with a passionate, helpful teacher. I loved this class. Lectures were informative and video documentaries were watched several times. Quizzes were untimed, open book open note. Several small projects and one page papers. Very understanding about printer mishaps and such. A+ do recommend.

This class is so hard, but glad to say I earned my grade. I put in the time and effort and def paid off. I wish I would have taken it with a lighter load (easier elective classes) but I still feel like I learned a lot. Shes sweet, make sure she knows you and that youre interested in passing and she will do everything she can to help.

Mrs. Grabiel is the sweetest, cutest thing! She has such an adorable sense of humor & sincere joy for geography. She's very helpful. She lets just use one page of notes for exams, gives EC & has told us when all of our "pop" quizzes would be 'cause she doesn't have the heart to let us be unprepared. Such a lovely woman, take her class!

She is great! I got a C in the class but that's because i didn't show up for a third of classes and slept through another third. She really lays out what you need to know and if you put in the effort an A is easily obtainable. As a plus she's really positive and passionate about Geography.

Mrs. Grabiel is fantastic. I had a hard time with sciences in general and she made it so much easier to understand, she put everything into everyday language. There was a lot of material but she was very clear about what to study and when.
