Pedro's ODE class is straight forward. He gives 4 tests, each 7.5% of your grade, a midterm worth 30%, and a final worth 40%. Homework is all optional. The class is minimal work and overall an easy A if you study for the tests. All his tests are similar to practice problems.

Excellent Teacher. Gives plenty of examples in class. Examples are very similar to test problems. No homework to hand in. Doesn't take attendance. His tests have 165 points but he grades out of 150 so you have a curve. Best math teacher.

Best professor in Binghamton. Explains everything you need to know, and does it in a way that everyone can understand. Just put in the effort, which isn't that much, and you will do great and have a great time in his class.

If you keep up with the non-mandatory homework, pay attention, and understand the material, you should get an A. He usually makes his tests out of 120 and only grades 100, giving you 20 points leeway. Great professor, makes the class less stressful.

He's a great teacher! The book was pretty much useless based on what he gives in class. If you take notes and listen to what he has to say, you should be set with a A. He usually makes methods(shortcuts) in solving some things which are really helpful and he always has a review session right before the exam. I wouldn't mind taking him again. =)

Math is not my best subject but this guy made it really easy for me to get an A. He does 2 review lectures leading up to each test and the practice problems that he does are EXACTLY like the ones on the exams. So pretty much all u gotta do is learn those specific problems and u got urself an easy A

Pedro is a really good math teacher. he tells you exactly what you need to know and doesnt waste time, thats probably why we were able to finish the semester a good 3 weeks early. his exams are not that hard as long as you study and he gives you a chance to do well. i would have him as a teacher again any day.

I don't know what the previous posters are saying, but he's really easy. He gives you the necessary info straight up and the tests are simple. There's barely any studying that's necessary. Plus, we finished a whole 2.5 wks early. He is practically the head of calc, so he only teaches you what you need to know for the final.

The first half of the course was so slow and we reviewed for like 2 weeks. It was a good pace after that until the middle of the semester. Now that we got to the hard stuff we're going so fast I'm not grasping anything or getting anything out of class. He seems like a nice guy but in terms of teaching, I wish it was structured a little more evenly.
