Professor Beauchamp made ochem bearable since it is not an easy subject. He has taught the class for years so he has a system & it works! You get credit for homework each class meeting, and midterms & the final are almost exactly the same as the ones on his website so you get a lot of practice. Just be ready to work hard and you will be fine.

Attendance is not mandatory and neither is the homework but you better do both if you want to have any hope passing this class. Organic Chemistry is a notoriously hard subject, but he really tries to break it down. He gives lots of help passing the exams: extra practice, study guides, tutoring, and grades on a curve. Best teacher I've had so far.

I like the subject as it is. Do not be discouraged by his outrageous exams because it helps you! His exams are a little more intense however, in the end you truly earn your grade! He gives hw so that helps your grade! He wants his students to know the subject and is willing to help. He loves what he does. Take O Chm with him if you can!!

Excellent professor; cares and goes out of his way to help students. You will work super hard, but you will have the great feeling that comes with earning your grade. I took o-chem in 1984-85 and still find value in what I learned in his course. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Beauchamp. Students taking his courses will benefit greatly.

Best professor EVER!!! he is the greatest!!! You will love this course and learn soo much its incredible. Take Dr. Beauchamp because he loves chemistry and makes it easier to understand! You will be very happy if you take him. I am so glad I did..he has been my favorite professor by far. Take him and you will know what i am talking about. Good Luck

Very passionate professor. You can tell he loves chemistry and loves teaching. Very helpful and cares about his students. Very hard class though. He wants you to know a lot of information. Lets you use one sheet(front and back)of notes for midterm and final but don't count on that getting you an A. Curves a lot (85% is an A) but hard to get an A.

this class is not easy, but o chem is not an easy subject. he teaches very well and explaines things to try to make the material easy to understand. There is a lot of homework and its worth a lot of points. his tests are way to long though. you are not suppose to finish them, but not to get even half way through is unfair. He does cure though!

He is an awsome teacher and yes he gives an insane amount of hw, but even if you only get a C in his class you will learn a lot. He does have a big curve and purposefully makes his tests so you can't finish them but he explains why in class. Really awsom

This guy is very knowledgable, sometimes too knowledgable. But he really cares about his students. Even if you are failing the class, if you do good or better on your final, he will give you the grade you got on the final. He grades on a big curve too!

If you want fail, take him. He gives a thousand pages long handouts to read and excpects you to write nomencalture for huge molecules. Crazy man.

He is very very knowledgable in his field. It is not the easiest class in the world but you can get an A if you really work hard. He covers everything that will be on the test. Tests are curved too and people often get over 100%.
