Comment:
Dr. Buckenmeyer is an excellent professor and I fully recommend him for ES 397. Just because he is a good professor does not make the class easy. The class itself is very challenging and requires a lot of studying. Dr. Buckenmeyer makes his lectures funny and keeps your attention and is always willing to answer any question

Probably the best professor I've had at Cortland. If you want an A you should go to all the classes, he will throw in a few hints towards the tests. Caring, funny, and really tries to help you understand the material so you can use it in real life. There is a lot of material to study but the tests are fair if you study. Highly recommend him!

Challenging class in general but does provide you everything you need to pass in the notes. Bring notes to class and write down what he says because the notes won't provide you with all everything you need. If you follow the study guides provided and study it, you will pass.

He is the man, I would take any class with him. He is smarter then he acts, and I think he does that for a reason.

also had him for nutrition...3 tests and final(MC/TF/short answer/ fill in blanks format), 1 paper....can be boring and can be funny, lecture depends on his mood. some say he's an airhead. i wouldnt agree....but i wouldnt disagree either. i like my classes with him tho

nice guy, makes class fun but review sheets were unhelpful or MISSLEADING as was the case on my final. Which inturn made the class harder and of course less clear. so I got a bad grade. he's good its just his testing skills need work

Good guy, very nice, down to earth, a bit of an airhead. his analogies for exercise physiology are funny and he's very fair when it comes to exams.

Great Lecture, but horrible in verifying what to focus on for a test... esp. when you have 50+ pages of notes to review!

Crazy analogies, but keeps you stimulated. If anyone can understand his taxi cab or keg party analogies, you are a genius.
