I was his student in early 90s during my undergrad years at NEIU. Took two business law courses and a tax course with him. An amazing teacher. I would say most helpful. The best.

I wish he taught more classes at NEIU. Very smart guy with a lot of real world experience that he is able to relate to material covered in class. He makes a boring topic entertaining.

He is the most interesting lecturer I ever had. For me, I couldn't miss clases because I fell in love with how the material is relevent to daily life and business world topics. He is bvery knowledgeable and that becomes evident pretty fast. His exams are hard but tax is no easy topic. It's complex. Study hard. Read the booke. His curves help.

Very informative and interesting class as it relates to your everyday life and what we may encounter in the future as far as business and taxes. Very difficult class but he grades on a huge curve. As long as he sees you are trying and participate in class you will pass. His exams are very difficult but I would probably take him again in the future.

Material is very challenging!!..3 Tests..1st test almost everyone failed. He curves grades.. You must STUDY again on your own, do ch. problems and attend all classes.

This profesor is bad! He doesn't teach nothing. You're pretty much on your own all the semester. Never know what to expect on the exams. He tells you that something is going to be on an exam and it's not. He makes us do assingments that he doesn't even grade. I would not take him again.

Comment:

Professor Neal is without a doubt the best accounting professor at NEIU. Unlike most accounting teachers at NEIU, he can actually speak english clearly. He always gives students opportunities to ask questions and he is always willing to help struggling students succeed. I would definitely take him again. One of the best!

Prof. Neal is truly one of the best professors, not only in NEIU, but in all schools. He brings so much real world experience into a class! Although some students complained that he talks to fast, so if you take him, make sure to stay awake and keep up. He's also flexible and will meet with you at all times of the day if you need help.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. Very insightful. Lectures would run 3+ hours but they would go by very quickly. His lectures are all about his personal experiences, but in the end they all relate to the book material. You will learn a lot, and I am definitely going to take him for future classes. I got an A.

YES HE IS UNORGANIZED AND LATE TO CLASS WHO CARES...HE IS VERY KNOWLEGE VERY EASY TO GET HIM OFF SUBJECT JUST ASK HIM GOOD QUESTIONS AND HE WOULD THINK YOUR SMART AND FAVOR YOU...THE MATERIAL IS HARD BUT HE GIVES YOU ALL THE SOLUTIONS TO THE QUESTIONS IN THE BOOK AND THE EXAM IS OPEN BOOK...TRY TO PUSH FOR A TAKE HOME EXAM...EXAMS ARE NOT EASY

Very good professor... He seems to be really hard at first... And while his exams are tough, you will learn so much from the class. I did bad on the first two exams but if you do the homework and participate, he really takes that into consideration and you'll do well. I would highly reccomend him but just remember he's tough but he's good...

Prof. Neal is very passionate about the subject and delvers a very interesting lecture. I learned alot and received an A. Although the test are not easy he tests from the lecture notes which are posted on the Blackboard. I would easily choose a class he teaches again.

If you will not understand something he will try to give u examples from real life, until u will. He is the HARDEST grader ever. His test are 10 questions, 10 points each, so if you screw up one question, you are already down to a B. He jumps around from the book material and it's hard to follow him sometimes. He NEVER returns emails, so don't even try. He also doesn't follow his syllabus very well at all... I ended up dropping this class.

Great lecturer, but misses a lot of classes and doesn't really teach to the test. You will learn some life lessons but you need to suck up to him if you want a good grade. Takes no**** in class but is totally unorganized. He's vague about grading system and I think he does this on purpose, which is why you need to stay on his good side!

class is not hard at all. The only negative part is my grade. I did well on all tests and ended up with a C in the class. I've been trying to get a hold of him for 6 weeks now to discuss my final grade. He has yet to respond to any emails I've sent.
