Comment:
Dr. Kaufke is by far one of the best college professors I have had while going for my A.A. He not only expects you to learn, but he gives as much as he can to ensure that you will pass with a good grade while still knowing French as well as possible. Whether you love language, or simply need the credits, you won't find a better teacher!

This is a great teacher! if you show up to class he will answer any question you have. he did not go over gramatics often but he will if you ask him. if you pay attention and actually do our homework this class is great and you will be able to speak french in no time! He is full of knowledge and it is hard not to like him!

This professor is a real jerk to those who are not "charmed" by him. If you are a serious student interested in learning the language - he is not the professor for you.

goes off on tangents. cant understand him at times. his papers are random and difficult, and the grading is strange, but consistent. never on time. random. but its not all that bad. hes fair, he treats all of his students equally.

never on time. talks on tangents forEVER. gives random tips on life. i laughed a lot, but his tests and papers are graded harder than you'd think. take tests seriously because they can be tricky.

He's a good person despite what others may think. See him after class at least once, he loves to talk. If you let him check your essay papers, he'll be lenient on due dates. He will not mind if you don't buy your textbook. You can find all peoms, short stories, and plays on Internet, just Google!!

funny guy who goes off on tangents, pleasant but some of the test questions can be stuff that might have been a tiny mention in a long book

took him in fal 2004. good teacher overall. never makes it to class on time. goes off topic and sometimes you don't understand what he's saying but tests are easy. NOT multiple choice, it is short answer but very easy. he likes talking to people so if you need help, be prepared to listen to stories

never never never talked about literature- made you write papers but forgot to teach you anything that he wanted on it and graded extremely unfair for unclear guidelines

Pretty easy. We didn't have to read a single book in a Lit class! We did short stories, poems, etc... Definately recommended for those of us who may be illiterate :)

he's fun, can get off topic easily which means less work. willing to help out, if you're willing to listen to him talk for a bit. doesn't arrive to class on time-it's a french thing.
