Comment:

He always uses handwriting for all the example questions, which could be better if he prints all the questions out. Sometimes I don't know what is he writing and what am I writing. Fun class though, he used many entertaining examples. You can leave early about 15 mins every time. He allows you to work with partners.

I didn't go to class often because I felt the material was pretty easy, but when I was there, Raj was a great teacher. He's a really fun and personable guy. From my interactions with him as a teacher and as the department chair, I really think that he cares about students and does a great job as a teacher. He's easy to talk to and very helpful.

I took Raj for international finance and an international business requirement and I thought I was going to fail the whole semester. 15 percent of the grade is in-class quizzes and I failed every one because he is horrible at teaching examples. I would never take his class again.

Comment:

Raj is another awesome finance professor, which UWEC seems to have a lot of. He is funny in class and really knows his stuff. Keeps class pretty interesting. His tests are pretty tough but he allows you to work with a partner for half of it. Always lets you out of class early if you are in section 2! I would take him again for sure.

Raj was definitely my favorite finance faculty at UWEC. Although many say they care about student learning, he really does. Plus he has so much personal and professional experience both in India and the US, and often shares his stories and examples (which sometimes are very funny).

He is a terrible for teaching this class. He makes this class so hard, textbooks are even easier to understand. His tests are tough and are worth 75% of your grade. This class made my semester so awful.

Raj is great; he is very animated and makes class interesting. He encourages questions and wants you to let him know if he can do something different to help you. The tests are hard and intimidating (90% of your grade); there is one group project (10%).

Where to start? Raj is very random and goes through one example and expects you to know everything from that one example. I wish there was another professor that could be chosen for this class but unfortunately there isnt. I would not recommend him for anyone. Oh, he also has his favorites and you'll see that when the final project is graded

Really entertaining guy, but sometimes not the most clear professor. His biggest way of teaching is by going over examples from the book, so if you know what you are doing, you don't really have to go to class. However, the tests are pretty hard, and the homework doesn't count for too much of your grade.

Really great personality, makes a lot of jokes. Material is crappy by nature, but he tries to keep you interested. Problems seem easy in class, but are hard to do on your own. Tests are challenging but Multiple Choice. Not much homework. Attendance doesn't count. He is the best in the department.
