Comment:

Dr. Hitt is the best! He cares about all of his students. The classes is one of the hardest classes I have ever taken but Dr. Hitt was always there for help. You will have to study a lot but its one of those classes you will finish where you have LEARNED the material, instead of memorized it. Would strongly recommend to take his class!!

Comment:

Dr. Hitt truly cares about each of his students. He takes time to make sure that everyone fully understands what his lectures are about. He has issues with his vocal cords, so he can be hard to understand at times, but he uses a microphone for clarity, and he's always willing to repeat himself. He was by far my favorite professor!

This class was my hardest. Yet, it was my best grade. The amount of care an dedication this man shows for teaching is amazing. He's truly a great person all around. If you study the material well you will have no problem. Dr. Hitt doesn't want you memorize anything. He wants you to /learn/ it. In my eyes, he is the best prof on this campus.

I love Dr. Hitt! He truly cares about each of his students. He will do the best he can to prepare them for what is to come. If you need any help, just go to his office! I practically lived in there, so rest assured that he will be there! His class is hard and definitely worthy of the Honors title, so study and get to know Dr. Hitt!

Dr. Hitt is a great professor. Yeah, he has some speech troubles, but he addresses it with a microphone and will repeat something if you ask. He is very helpful if you ask him for help. This is a HARD class. Be prepared to study a lot of notecards, slides, and readings. His test often include something you researched too. His class was worth it.

Great professor! If you study your notes, you will pass. You have to dedicate a lot of time to studying, however! He does not make this a "joke class" that you don't study for. He is a retired vet; he expects the best from you. I love him, he is great! Very sweet. My favorite professor.

This professor is easiest my favorite on this campus. Yes, he is difficult, and yes there is a lot of work to do. But all of it is worth it. The knowledge and experience you get from this man is priceless. He is caring, enthusiastic, approachable and fair. You won't find a better biology professor anywhere.

Dr. Hitt is an evil genius, and not in the good way. Yes the subject is very hard, but he made the class harder than it should have been. His speech impediment was very difficult to deal with on top of the difficulty level of the class. Also, I didn't find him very approachable. I strongly advice to not take him if you don't have to!!!!

Dr. Hitt is by far the best professor I've ever had. His class is VERY challenging and requires the students to work hard to succeed, which is truly helpful for upper level Biology courses. I've never left a class feeling as knowledgable about a subject as I do about Dr. Hitt's Biology class. Trust me, guys, it's worth the hard work and effort.

Dr. Hitt is the absolute best teacher! He lectures from a power point and you must take excellent notes (don't be afraid to ask him to repeat something you didn't catch). The class is not easy, but he does make it interesting. You must be willing to study and put in the time. I wish he taught more than just 1107 and 1108.

Dr. Hitt is a former Vet so he knows everything there is over this subject and expects you to learn everything as well. His test are the hardest you will take in College. I recommend never taking him unless you want to study for at least 4 hours day just to get a C.

He is the teacher to take if you want to learn, there is no easy going in his class. He lectures a lot and he expects you to know a lot. His tests are about specifics and application. He is always willing to help. Definitely do the panel discussion, they help almost an entire letter grade depending on your group. It's tough, but you will learn.

If you are a first-semester freshman, then be prepared to be thrown into the college worldk. Being a biology major, I had to fight for my grade, so I made flashcards, read the book, and studied just about every day for that class and pulled out an A. He's always willing to help if you show him you're willing to learn, so get on his good side!

Dr. Hitt is probably the best Biology teacher I've ever had. With that being said, the class is extremely tough, and he expects a lot out of his students. However, he is ALWAYS available to help you if you feel like you're falling behind, and encourages you to make the right decisions in order to bring out the best for your potential.

He is a good professor and he has a good personality but his class is ridiculous. He expects you to study 20-30 hours a week. Half of my class failed and I made a D. Its hard to understand him so if you do take him sit in the front row. This is like a med school class in difficulty.

He is a terrific professor. The class if very difficult and time consuming. Be prepared to work hard. If you learn the notes (not memorize) the test are not bad. If you fail the first POP quiz don't worry because most do and it is easy to come back from if you do the extra credit project. GOOD LUCK!

Hard to understand sometimes because of his speech problem, but he's always easy to ask for help. Good teacher overall. Go to class, take notes, don't fall asleep. Quizes and tests are not easy so study hard. He does offer extra credit group projects.

This class is hard, but I absolutely loved it! He's a great teacher and really knows what he is talking about. It takes a LOT of hard work, but it is possible to do well in this class. Take really good notes in class, and keep up with your lab notebook. Study everything for the tests and don't be afraid to ask questions. He wants you to understand.

He is a very good teacher and wants you to succeed. He is available for help whenever. Reading the text book and studying a few hours a week for his quizes and tests. To pass the tests you must understand and be able to apply all the material. There are lab quizes each week which require hours of preparation.
