Dr. McCorkle was out on sick leave the entire Spring semester so our class ended up being online taught by his TA. The quizzes were easy (you could find all in info in the book) and the discussions were easy points (as long as you posted on time). The midterm and final were hard, even with the study guide, provided.

DO NOT ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE. It is the hardest class ever. Weekly discussion (easy) and quizzes (very very detailed from the chapter). Midterm and final are very difficult because they are so detailed!

WISH I HAD NEVER TAKEN THIS AWFUL CLASS!Idk y they even put prof mckorkles name on the schedule since he has is grad asst do all his work, with the exception of some really awful video lectures, I took this online and when Id email the prof, he would NEVER respond hed have his GA respond to my questions. THIS CLASS IS UNFAIR & UNCLEAR RUN FAR AWAY!

I am taking this class online and hate it to death. Super hard. The teacher does not teach at all and put his assistance to do the job. She makes everybody fail. No Joke. Horrible. A lot of reading and hard quizzes. No mercy at all. I wish I could drop it, but need to graduate in december. Avoid it if you can.

he never showed up to class! such bs. he was eventually replaced after 3 weeks but by a prof. who solely reads off of the powerpoints. complete waste of time.

McCorkle never showed up to class for three weeks into the semester. His failure to show up only produced more confusion as the class had no idea what to read in the text book. However after the thrid week of abscences he was replaced by another professor.

I took this class online in session 1 in the summer. There were discussions, quizzes, and exams. It was easy and whenever I had a question he responded within a day.

He told us that he would be there 4 the final to answer questions 4 the first 20 to 30 mins of class and instead he never showed up his TA had to and if thats not enough the questions on the exam were not on the study guide.

So he was totally funny and entertaining, but i have to say he wasn't the greatest professor. First of all, he doesn't live here in Las Vegas which is probably the reason why he missed AT LEAST 6 classes and he promised our final was online and it wasn't. The only thing about it is that he gives you the questions to the mid term and final.

He was hilarious to listen to, always joked around with the class. The class was very interesting at the start, but started to get boring towards the end, because of his lack of attendance. He also promised that our final was online then never showed up to class, so we had to take it in class. Besides that, he was a fun professor.

He was an awesome professor till the end of the semester. Not strict, gave extra credit at times for showing up to class. However he missed class throughout the semester. Told our class that our final was going to be online. The week before our final he didn't show up to class and our final was changed to be taken in class. TA gave us the final.

Dr. McCorkle is an excellent professor. However, I have a few complaints: Due to the fact that he doesn't even live in Vegas, his attendance to the class sucked. In all, he probably missed more than 3 weeks combined. He told our class that the final was online, was it? NO! This was 2 weeks ago, we never heard from him since. His T.A. proctored us.

Online. He left halfway through semester and assistant took over class. Quizzes are over book reading, tests include lectures too. Quizzes often include material from future chapters. I never read; I just looked up answers in the back of the book during quizzes and got 90-100% on every one. Has online discussions. No papers.

took his class on campus and he is a great teacher. he keeps everything interesting and relates all topics to our daily lives. he tells you exactly what he is going to ask on the tests. gives you study guides that really helps out. i would definitely recommend him to anyone.
