He makes the class harder then it actually is. He is very unorganized, takes for ever to get assignments back, and very forgetful. He is willing to help you but you have to schedule time with him and you still leave confused. Very nice guy but shouldn't be a professor.

Mr. Hollister's class was the worst class I have taken. He misgraded my test, refused to correct it and thats what led to my only C at JU. He definitely shows his age by his forgetfulness and inability to concentrate. DO NOT take him.

I ended up having to drop this course halfway through the semester..along with half of the students in my class. This professor was so confusing and did not explain the problems well at all. This left the whole class confused to the point where it was clear everyone gave up. Almost every class there were at least five students who got up and left.

Really nice guy but pretty boring. He will teach till the last second of the class. Hw is daily but very easy. He assigns about 5 problems a night. Keys to an A: Do the Hw, attend class, and review the practice exams. Read your emails as well.

He is a really nice person but he not a good teacher. If you haven't already had the material you will fail, i practially already took the class thats the only reason i passed. He is unclear in his teaching style and often runs outta class time

I overall enjoyed the class. The material was not too difficult (Precalculus equivalent). The homework is tough and he grades for correctness. However, the hard problems from the homework are never on the exams, and he gives you a practice exam to take before each one. I got high A's on each one thanks to those.

He honestly cares about students more than any professor I've ever had, but he can't keep ANYTHING straight. His office is a total mess, and he is bad about explaining things in class, but if you want a teacher who cares and where effort actually factors into a grade, Dr. Hollister is it.

Good professor He thinks boring things are funny. Will answer any of your questions in class or outside of class. You learn a lot about your calculator. Overall not a bad teacher or class just math is not my thing.

Great guy, but he is super unorganized. We just took the final, which was tough as nails, and then he assigned us homework after (without telling us). Learn to use the calculator in this class. He tries to help, but you need to know stats vocab in order to understand him. The book sucks at helping, so make sure to take good notes.

I wouldn't suggest this teacher to anyone. If you don't have a good understanding of math going in its going to be hard when he goes off on tangents about suicidal lemmings.

Dr. Hollister, I wouldn't want him to operate on me...ignore the ignorance. great prof, if you know what's going on. Kinda boring, and the examples seem redundant, but worth paying attention to. A great "get to know your calculator" class. If you want someone who is bursting with personality, take someone else. But, not a bad teacher.

Great Professor. Takes time after class to make sure the students are understanding the material and there was no option but to pass that class. I hate math and he is the first professor to ever make me interested.
