Dr. Littlefield's an excellent professor. He designed the course in a way that enhanced my research and thinking skills. His feedback was helpful, and students willing to put in a reasonable amount of effort should do well.

There was a lot of busy work in this class. You must read the textbookreview notes for the weekly quizzes and cumulative tests. There is a service learning project for this class requiring 15 hours of volunteer work. Littlefield isn't very patient and his lectures are dull. Only take the class if you have to.

Comment:

I took comm 216 with him and it was awful. The questions on the quizzes and tests are terribly worded, and in one case I called him out a question that wasn't even factual on the test and he just blew me off. Super boring to sit through his lectures so bring a pillow and catch some sleep. Also, don't bother buying the textbook!

This class has a ridiculous amount of work for such an easy concept. He makes you volunteer which sucks if you don't have a car. The quizzes are worded difficult, and the test is all quiz questions.

He is good at explaining, but sometimes he doesn't explain what is on quizzes, so read the text book and the quiz questions are really worded difficult. All the questions on the quiz are on the exam so practice quiz questions. Volunteering in required for this course which sucks.

This class is extremly boring. DR Littlefield is really nice and will help you if you ask for it. Requires you to volunteer outside of class which sucks. His lectures are not interesting at all and will lull you to sleep. Quizes every week but if you show up to class you should get a good grade.

His classes are fun. His expectations and assignments cannot be communicated more clearly. He expects discussions and participation, although I am not sure if he actually considers that while making grades. Always be organized and tidy, never make spelling mistakes, etc. Also, he never forgets anything!

Here's an easy way to get at least a B in this class: PAMPER HIS EGO! Do this, and he will give you a good grade. Don't do it, and his petty mind shows itself. Do not expect to learn anything from him. He will drone on and one, without regard to his students. His assignments are not clear, yest he expects you to know everything from day 1. BEWARE!

I would suggest not taking this class from him if you can avoid it. Did not come out of the class knowing anymore than when I went in. He doesn't seem to really want to teach the students, just give his lecture. Treats students as if they were in preschool,scolds them for leaving. Assigns way too much out of class busy work. Tests are ridiculous!

Dr Littlefield is a good teacher and well experienced, but way too busy to take time with students even though he attempts to set aside time.
