Comment:

The class expectations were very unclear, however, the overall workload was very manageable. The tests were very tough, but mostly because the prof seems to not be able to imagine that you can't hear everything he is aware off on the first listening.

Comment:

Professor Morris is the most insightful and genuine professor I've ever had.He is full of knowledge and, if you are prepared, he is ready to present it in a way that is tailored to each students learning style. Unless you are lazy and looking for a good grade,I would highly recommend him! We need more professors like Robert Morris.

I took his courses many years ago. His books were not yet written, and we used preliminary versions. Intense. Agree, "discussions" were opportunities for showing off. My notes are scores plastered with "salient" segmentations. Ha! I did find him organized and helpful (up to a point). Did not suffer fools gladly, but also had "favourites." B+

Morris is a crank; some semesters he just decides not to teach. I've made A's in multi-D calc and was appalled at his complete lack of organization in class. Unfortunately, most of his grad students know that they can't piss him off, so they just put up with it. What a fraud! The composition dept under him entirely imploded. HAH!

High expectations, speaks to mathematicians though, gruelling, you have to work like a dog, analysis sessions a waste of time because people are just spitting out numbers and showing off what they think they know. should kick them out
