You need to buy the reading material for the class, I had In Cold Blood & Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The books are great and if you start reading as soon as classes start you wont feel rushed to read. Almost all the quizzes, discussions and papers are on the reading. I think we had 3-4 papers but they were easy if you know how to write a basic essay.

He's such an amazing teacher, even hilarious. He cares so much for his students and wants them to succeed. He responds to his emails and is always available when you need him. I highlu recommend taking Mr. Senior

Mr. Senior is the best teacher that I've had in college. He's super funny, and he's always there for you when you need help. He is a bit tough on grading, but if you do the work, you'll get a good grade in this class. I recommend him for English 101

I took his class online and it was honestly not difficult but it wasn't easy. If you are assigned work you have to get it done on time and majority of the work is discussions with some tests/quizzes. Also it's important to read the stuff he assigns as majority of the work is based off of what you read.

Tough about late work, pretty straight forward and clear about what he wants. We read 3 books and did an essay on each one along with discussions every week. Assigned at the same times on the same days throughout the course, quizzes unlock towards middle of week.

Mr. Senior is great! I took his online English class. He responds to emailed questions quickly, and was super helpful when I stopped by his office. He's funny at times and you genuinely feel that he wants you to succeed. Definitely recommend taking his class!

I took his class online and it was pretty easy to pass. He is strict about late work but as long as you do the discussions, he gives you full credit every time. I could have done much better in the course if I just completed more of the work.

Great teaching style. Any quiz was clearly spoke to the class of the expectations about what to look for in the reading. Very fair grading and continued to improve throughout the year. Will be brutally honest about your personal life especially if your a girl. He strangely wants to protect you.

Great class ! Very easy mostly assigns homework for online class on Sundays and due on Friday ! always give you feedback on your essay. Not a tough grader . 5 essays and a final about his lectures. I hate English and not good at it and I got a B+!!

Took his online class which was fairly easy! There are a few essays and quizzes but they're pretty straight forward. As long as you read the books then you're good! Last essay was a research essay that had to be atleast 7 pages long. His information on what he wants in the essay is VERY straight forward and easy.

It is very obvious that Mr. Senior cares about his students. He always grades in a timely manner and provides helpful feedback. His class is well organized and easy to follow. While some people may not like the work being assigned on Mon and due on Fri, I actually found it very beneficial because it kept me from procrastinating. Highly recommend.

Taking online. Work is assigned Sun. & due Fri. by 6pm most of the time. Wasn't happy about this at first BUT it actually works out great (no work on weekends or break!) Workload is light & readings are quick, super easy quizzes every few weeks, 4 papers total. Grades in a timely manner - easy on weekly work, fair on papers (& gives feedback)

Comment:

Mr. Senior is the best! The mandatory readings and the essay topics were interesting and easy. Only four essays (3-5pgs) & a research paper (7-10pgs) towards the end of the semester. He's very helpful and clear about what he expects out of his students. Beware: He will try to pick on you at some point, so just keep your head up & you'll survive :)
