her class is so boring, would've never taken this class if I knew she was this boring i would have never taken this class. she speaks in a monotone voice. I feel like I'm learning nothing. all she does is talk and no studying is going on

Though she's a tough grader she will give good feedback and meets you half way. Some days she's funny and a human, not a robot professor and some days she's super serious. Her class is what it is, tests/quizzes aren't very difficult. Her grading on writing was difficult, I've never not been told my papers were exceptional but I guess preference

Comment:

Great online class. Only two papers, a midterm, a final, and a couple short quizzes about readings. The rest is all reading and forum participation. Make sure you actually read and participate on time and you should do well. A tip: use lots of quotes to support your thoughts in forums. It gives more validity to your thoughts.

Great teacher! Knows alot about her subject material and the authors that we read. As long as you read and participate you will do well. Only 2 papers and 2 tests, easy!

She's a nice lady. But as a teacher, she is so disorganized. She's always late to class but will mark you late if your late. Her lectures are long and she doesn't make them interesting.

She would give extensions on material due, gave plenty of time to do it. Offers help if you need it. Works well with the student. She gives you a good amount of work and is tough on grading. Its a fairly easy class but must do the work. This was a hybrid course.

Professor Roliston was a good teacher. There are weekly discussions online and lots of tests, too. She's a tough grader but I'd say it's good because I learned what not to do when writing essays and read some interesting stories. However, I emailed her a couple of times about my grades and she never responded. However, I'd take her again.

Dr. Roliston's lectures are boring, but if you read the material and ask questions her lectures get interesting. Lots of reading tho. 10 journals2 papers3 tests. Sounds like a lot but if you're organized and do the work you'll pass. The key to her class is raising your hand. Tests are slightly tricky but if you READ MATERIAL you're fine.

She's awful DO NOT take her!!!! She's always late but if you come to class while she is taking attendance she marks you late. She does not review for tests. Very rude. Does not believe in extra credit. Please save yourself!!!

I CAN SAY THAT PROF. ROLISTON IS NOT A BAD TEACHER SHE EXPLAINS EVERY READING AND IS A PLEASURE TO HAVE AS PART AS MY LEARNING EXP. SHE'S VERY FIRM AND THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT SHOULD BE... Not the greatest professor. She is one of those that follows the syllabus for a little, then gets 3 weeks off of it. Then even after that, she still expects old assignments that we didn't reach yet to be due. The research paper she assigns is complete B.S. and has nothing to do with this class. And she offered no help and barely any help with it

She's great, i passed the class with flying colors. All you have to do is do the reading and even that is not all that important to do because she tells you what will be on the test so you can always catch up to your reading before the test. There is a oral report due just to throw that out there, but the class was the easiest class ive ever had!

Great professor! Falls a little behind in her work, but that is because she explains every reading to the tee, so discussions might take up two class sessions than one. You have one presentation, three tests (one being take home), and two papers. a lot of reading, but honestly I did not read one book, because she goes over everything throughly.

She is one of the worst professors I have had in Bergen. She is extremely unorganized, and always late. Since the beginning of the class, she has revised the course outline 4 times, she can't seem to keep up with her own work! Don't take her if your really trying to get an education or a good grade (she doesn't believe in giving A's)!

I took this class online. She's good and helpful. Lots of reading and quizzes, two papers, midtern and a final exam. It's all open book, so beware! One changed word can make the statement completely opposite. Careful what you're reading when taking the tests. She gets a little tricky like that. Still got an A. It's not hard, but you have to read!
