Robin is a huge sweetheart. She's so calming, encouraging and kind. You'll actually want to speak up & participate in her class. If you're hesitant to take African-American lit from a white teacher, know that she handles everything with grace. You can tell she's knowledgeable and passionate about literature. If you ever get the privilege, take her!

She has no final, assigned 2 essays, 6 weekly writings of 500 words, and the option of a presentation or two 500 word papers on an event attended. Everyday she has a reading check so be sure to read because those points add up. Her lectures are drawn out about the readings, and it gets super boring. If you want an easy A, take this class.

Robin is an amazing instructor who is passionate about the subjects that she teaches. I took minority lit. from her and she made the class discussion based rather than a lecture. I really enjoyed her class!

Robin Havenick is arguably one of the top instructors at LBCC. She is driven to refine skills that her students possess, as well as encourage from her own personal favorite writers. Classroom discussion makes the class worth going to; extremely respectful atmosphere. Will probably drop in and visit from time to time in Fall. Extremely fair and open

This is an awesome class. She is very helpful.Gives you feedback on your work. Praises and lets you know how good you did on your essays. Includes class on some decisions, makes you feel like part of the class. I hope to take another one of her classes. Crazy women in a good way! lol

I'm really surprised by the good reviews. She's really easy, but is not good at leading discussions. I'm currently in her Literature of American Minorities class. It feels like if you disagree with her you are automatically considered close minded. If you want a class to sit down and shut-up in... this is it.

Best Professor at LBCC! Iwas not looking forward to this class at the beginning of the quarter. Turned out to be my favorite! Her class discussions are very interesting and she really encourages students to participate. If you are struggling she will help you succeed. I learned a lot from her and will seek her out for future classes!

She is awesome! She had weekly writings and participation points, so if you showed up to class and did your work on time you did well. There were take home essays instead of tests. Lots of reading to do, but she did cut some out when we were overwhelmed. Fun group projects for finals. If you communicate with her, she is very understanding and helpful. I recommend her 100%!!

Amazingly nice instructor. To her credit, she is very understanding and will accept most excuses with little penalty for late work. Grades based largely on effort so it tends to be quite easy. Robin was very helpful and knowledgeable in literature.

Expexts 100% but always gives the same in return. Children's Lit class is a lot of fun. Usually allows 3 or more choices for assignments.
