Professor is knowledgable on the topic and you can tell that Geography is his passion. Don't skip class even though attendance isn't mandatory since he sometimes gives some answers that are on his tests. He is a very understanding professor and approachable as well.

Nice guy, but can drone on about pointless facts within California. Read the reading assignments he gives you because he has regular reading quizes, has two midterms, a term paper, and an extra credit museum report. In all honesty, he is not at all expecting much from you. As long as you put forth a little effort in his class, you'll excel.

Professor Davidson has a lot of knowledge. Geog 150 is a required survey class and it's a mind blower. You will be fine as long as you attend and do ALL the reading. The professor a fair grader. To his credit he makes the class fun. For all the information the class has you get the feeling that are only scratching the surface. Definitely doable

D: He is something of a tough grader, especially on exams (these are tough, no question). There is not a lot of homework but definitely a considerable amount of reading. Dr. D's class is more about big ideas/concepts rather than discrete/narrow ones. Read, go to class, you'll learn more than you expected You won't look at geo the same way again.

Super boring class, filled with him lecturing a long power point that sometimes is not even on the test. Very nice & is passionate about geography. Quizes & tests are every week on long uninteresting readings. The good thing is that your grade is based on your average class grade.

If you're a Geography major, definitely take Cultural Geog (301). Davidson's lectures are actually engaging and make simple topics such as public space into fascinating subjects. He encourages discussion and will often ask for feedback. Loved his presentations about strange places.

Ronald Davidson is a good professor. I promise you it is an easy class. I did all the work, I did one extra credit and I got A mostly on his quizzes, but I never study too much or in fact not at all. I only study for the tests. the final is easy if you have been paid attention to the lectures. I suggest if you want an easy GE class take him.

Important to come to class as what he lectures shows up in the exams and quizzes. Class was hybrid and he posted half of the material in videos. Quizzes were online and timed. Midterm was online with 50 questions and timed. Readings that were posted must be read, as it showed up in exams. All assignments must be completed, to earn all points.

The tests are extremely hard, but he curves the test. My class average was a 45% but it didn't matter b/c of the curve. It is an interesting class, but boring as well. He is passionate about his class though. The homework is very easy and its a big chunk of your grade, so don't skip it! It will help you pass the class.

Professor Davidson goes off in many tangents. A nice and funny guy but the way he grades is challenging. Be prepared to read an abundance of articles. As a Geography major this class could help you take off some requirements but I suggest taking else.

Ron is a super nice guy who cares a lot about his subject and loves to go in depth and discuss the reading. However, his lectures often go off-topic and don't prepare you well for the tests (don't even get me started on his one-word-per-slide power points) so DO THE READING. His tests are straight from the book, even if he didn't lecture on it

People who complain just don't pay attention in class. Come to class and take notes of his lectures. Quizzes are based on the reading assigned on moodle. Tests are based on lectures.

Gives a reading quiz almost every week & chapter tests almost every other or 2 weeks. His lectures can be pretty boring but he is a pretty cool guy. Hardest class I ever took & never plan on taking another GEOG class again. He does give E.C. once & tests are pretty hard. Make sure to take good notes, quizzes are about readings, straight forward ?s

He is a good professor however the test had absolutely NOTHING to do with the lecture. I can tell he is passionate about his work but, I would be like did you even teach us this? he doesn't take attendance but you miss a handful if you miss class. No final exam but hard test.

There's definitely a lot given during lecture. There are about 5 tests (take good notes and study hard)! He also curves them. If you work hard, you can get an A! Also, skim through the book. Focus on your notes mainly. Overall, he's an awesome guy and geography inabout California is interesting.

**Ronald Davidson is hilarious. He has a unique personality. He is so fun and makes lectures interesting **As for the course, we had about five exams (one is dropped), but as long as you take good notes and attend his lectures, you will past his exams **The class is curved!!! **This class makes me want to become a geography minor

Good charisma and attitude goes off topic from time to time and makes random jokes which made me laugh. Extra credit offered which made my grade go up. Curves a lot which make it easy to pass the class. Quizzes even week from readings which were interesting most of the time. Recommend :)
