Comment:
Mixed. He knows his stuff and the (outdated) resources he uses are helpful. Do the assignments and you'll learn a lot. Minus: he's often late, minimally prepared, and condescending. A student asked "When I ask a question, why do you make me look stupid?" Although he can be charming (think Gilderoy Lockhart), this question sums his teaching style.

Obnoxious, pompous, and arrogant. Really bad at explaining things. I really don't think he should be an instructor. He should stick to politics. The subject is easy, but he likes to make it difficult and not explain how to use any of the programs we used. He assumed we knew how to do everything already- not a good instructor overall.

he is a very good teacher and very knowledgable, he is an old school artist in a new age and defenitely lets y ou know it, and appreciate how much we have now, i have had him for two calsses, and tried for a third but i got stuck with Lisa Francey, a waste of time loser, i suggest ron for CG101, he is very patient, and informative.

If you really want to learn a subject matter, this is the instructor to take. Not only is he well-versed in usually any computer graphics subject matter, Ron makes learning fun. Once you leave his class, you will actually have learned valuable information that will stick with you.

Very good instructor. We have a lot of fun in the class. He knows what he's doing. He helps out the students that have problems with something. He also brings a lot of humor to the class. All in all, a great instructor. "NO CLICKING!"

Well, his sense of humor, is a little dry. But he reminds me of a Richard Gere, appearance, or more like Anthony Hopkins, not like he is fond of eating people I dont think....Umm, Although he mocks blonds and its obvious he's one, he is a great teacher, and I give him a good reccomendation, overall.

He plays really crappy music during class. He claims his class is sooo easy, but it is not. He gets annoying very quickly. Despite it all, he is an ok teacher, and he really knows his stuff. If you are good at comp graphics already, it will be a breeze. Otherwise, get ready to work in the lab often.

Mr. Smith is funny and cool! He sure knows his stuff. In my opinion, he's the best Computer Graphics teacher at AVC! (and they should really let him teach art)
