The best ever! I took Mr. Lurz' Micro class long ago back at Rogers State College. He goes well out of his way to help his student's succeed. He's a great teacher and person. Nursing students especially will love him.

Ivan is an amazing professor.He's so passionate about his subject and does a great job communicating with his students.He encourages questions and discussion.Willing to meet outside of class for study groups.The tests aren't difficult if you study.There are essay ?'s on all tests that he provides a week before the test.Quiz grades added to tests!

Awesome teacher!! So glad I got him before he retires! Lectures never boring, fun and wants you to learn. Will meet for help outside of class. Quizzes help all exams. You have to work but if you put in the effort and study you will do great! AWESOME TEACHER!! My Favorite at TCC!!

THE best teacher I've ever had! He wants you to learn the stuff, and will go to great lengths so that you have every opportunity to do so. Friendly, funny, and knows his stuff. SO glad I got him before he retired!!

Very knowledgeable teacher, had him for a few classes and very much enjoyed his lectures. His class isn't for the lazy. He is willing to meet students outside of class. It is definitely possible to make over a 100 percent in micro and bio for majors. Lab final isn't too bad either. I consider Lurz to be my favorite teacher at TCC.

funny guy! great teacher. gave out 3 20 pts e/c. willing to help student out of class which was really nice. i thought the tests were kinda hard (but it's just me). gives out chapter reviews (great for use of SG) tests consists of multiple choice and 8 short answers (short answers ?s given ahead of time) total of 6 exam. final test=group of 3

Lurz is one hell of a teacher! I'm not sure what classes the last two comments were in but, I got an A, mother of 2 and a full time job with 10 hours this semester! Study handouts, quizes are bonus points for test! Must go to lecture..labs are fun! I highly recommend!!!

I don't know why this man gets great comments. He is remarkably offensive, very egotistical; he verbally insults students. He is very confusing; I had to teach myself out of the book. He wastes an incredible amount of paper with handouts; most of them are useless, & full of spelling and gramatical errors. Don't take his class if you have a life

Professor Lurz is a great professor. He really knows his MICRO. The tests are over his powerpoint lectures and there are some short answer essay. He does want you to do well but the material is still hard if you don't have a good foundation of biology. Just come to class and study and you should do well.

I took this class in the summer, and I tell you,this is the world's best instructor. Meets with the class on the weekend if they want, just to make sure you totally understand the information provided. It's not everyday that you get an instructor that really care if his students pass his class. He's such a good instructor I'm taking his Micro class

Professor Ivan, is a very caring individual. He wants you to do well, he'll explain over and over until you understand it, and then if you don't he'll go over it again. He won't bat an eyelash against teaching you. He'll meet you AWAY FROM CLASS on his own time. I really learned more than I thought I would. Thank you Professor Ivan!

Lurz is AMAZING! My first college class straight out of high school and his teaching was incredible for all of the bad things I've heard about college professors. I studied and maintained my focus and got an A. Do all of the extra credit and labs!!!! It's easy A's!!!!
