Hated this class! He treated our intro class like it was one of his real classes and at one point all of us were failing. His exams are NOTHING like what you go over in class, so good luck. I think he gave most of us an A so he wouldn't look bad.

Dr. Berglee is very funny & truly a kind soul. He always does his best to make sure his students succeed. At first I thought the class itself would be easy, but it posed to be a bigger challenge than I had originally thought. He worked with me to get my grade to an A.

I took this professor for global popular culture. In the beginning, the criteria was not clear. throughout the semester it became more clear, but tests are hard. Taking notes during class are necessary and reading the online source he offers is necessary too. He takes 5 points off of grade for every class that is missed,but cares about his students

Dr. Berglee is an overall great teacher. You have to make sure to study the questions at the back of each lesson to give you a better chance at passing quizzes and tests. He covers most of what the book entails in each lesson as well as throws in some interesting personal stories. He draws you in and maintains your attention.

I loved this class and learned so much but be ready to work hard in this class. He has been to almost every single place he talks about in class so he has first-hand knowledge. Study like you've never studied before for his test because they are hard. Map quizzes can either be your grade saver or killer. He's funny and makes lectures interesting.

This was the hardest class I have ever taken in my entire life, but with that being said, I still learned more then I have in any other college class. You have to earn your grade. Tests are tough, for sure, but the map quizzes will save you. Dr. Berglee is sooo knowledgeable and is always willing to help you succeed.

Professor Berglee was great! The class didn't involve writing papers or any presentations. Attendance was part of the grade, however, his lectures were very engaging and I genuinely wanted to come to class. The exams require studying, but if you read the book and answer the end-of-chapter questions, you should do well.

Not a very good professor! Is very hard, and not very helpful. He knows his material well, but, in my opinion, doesn't do well to explain it to the class. Expects you to know almost everything stated in the text (in which he is the author). This class was very disappointing.

I LOVE Dr. Berglee! Awesme prof.! Very helpful! All test material is covered in class and all map quiz material is either in the book or online (the practice quizes on blackboard REALLY help)! Although attendance is required if you have to miss he works with you. I was weary of this class in the beginning and it turned out to be my favorite! :)

Comment:

Berglee is an awesome guy with a northern accent that loves Wal-Mart a little too much. In order to succeed, you must read the text often. Beware of the first map quiz and exam; its the hardest and will cause you to get a low grade. I learned more through his powerpoints, pictures, and personal experiences than anything else.

Dr. Berglee is awesome! I also wanted to comment for those people who previously took him and commented...you don't have to be a GEOGRAPHER or GEOGRAPHY major to do well in his classes. You should know most of the counties in the world anyway. And you all are obviouly not English majors either.

He is extreamly hard.. I was not a geography and most in the class were not and he still made it so difficult and will little help to offer.Takes 5pts off for every class even if excused. Horrible, don't take if at all possible.
