BORING!!!! Bring a coloring book or something to keep you occupied. Essay's are pretty easy. You need to participate in group discussions or your grade will suffer. Her favorite word is Patriarchy so be prepared to hear it. ALOT!

An easy class, but her grading system wasn't. Make sure u include the book, or authors name into your sentences of the the test. Also, try to stay for the whole period to get a good grade on it, if not then you'll get a C, no matter how good it is or how much you wrote. Very biased and only her opinion matters. She would literally cut you off.

this teacher was so completely biased.she tried to compare the struggle of women to african americans in the united states and pretty much told us none of us would ever dedicate our lives to anything like her precious feminists did. grades are partial to whether or not you agree with her opinion.

Great teacher! Very nice, has open discussion in class instead of writing notes all the time. If you talk a lot and do your work she'll give you a good grade.Only annoying thing is that she keeps you in class to the last minute of class. Very important EXPLAIN everything you mean on the exams or paper.

OMG...prepare for sheer boredom.I was counting the minutes in this class.She is such a feminist tree-hugger.She is a grumpy old lady and a horrible teacher.This class is easy but you have to put up with alot of bull talk to obtain that grade. Never had a problem in this class. Most of it was lecturing and class discussions. She practically gives you the questions for all essay exams and the material is easy to follow, including extra credit assignments. Also a very wonderful and caring woman who encourages new ways of thinking and having an open mind. Loves having feedback.

Dr. Whitney is a fair professor. She tells you exactly what she wants for exams and papers. She tries very hard to make the class interesting. She's very sweet and very helpful. I would recommend her for this class.

Awful awful awful! Does not tolerate any opinions other than her own. I had her for Women's Studies which was 3 hours every night of nothing but her bashing men, Christians, and Conservatives! Too bad this is a required course. Reflects poorly on USF
