This class was relatively easy for an English class. As long as you post on the discussion board and turn in your papers you'll get an A. She does a great job of leaving feedback on almost every assignment. The textbook is a must to pass this class.

She is such a kind professor and is really easy to work with because she really appreciates when students make the effort in her class. She loves it when you participate and all you need to do are the assignments (only like 10 or less per semester) She has a mid term test that is easy, but other then that you can learn a lot more than English!

I really enjoyed her class. She really does care about her students and loves class discussions. There are 5 papers and she edits your first draft so you can write a better final draft. I learned a lot from her. Would definitely recommend.

She gives you plenty of time to write the papers. Homework assignments aren't too difficult. I loved that she way willing to work with you if you were unable to get an assignment in on time. Shes very leniant. I liked our class discussions. Don't talk in class when shes talking or look at your phone. She hates it!

Mrs. Vogel is a very enjoyable professor. She can sometimes be a bit scatterbrained, but it never interferes with her grading or learning in her class. She's friendly and passionate about her material.

I took the half semester class online. It was a LOT of work but it was well worth it and enjoyable. Professor Vogel was always very understanding of any issues the students had and was very fair and caring. There is a LOT of reading but it's all really good reading. Take this class from Vogel!

GREAT teacher! There is only one 10-12 page paper that you work on the entire semester. There are other small assignments but they all help with the research paper. She is super helpful too! If you go to class and put in an effort, you will do very well. If you need this class, take it from her!

Sandy was great. If you have to take this class at UVU take it from her. There is only one real paper and some smaller assignments that focus on it. She was clear and helpful and very fair with grading. She also is really fun. She has a cool personality. Great teacher.

I liked the class a lot more than I thought I would. There was quite a bit of writing but she grades easy as long as you are trying hard to explain your ideas I learned a lot and would recommend this teacher to others.

I took this class online and enjoyed it immensely. The class was well formatted and very clear on what was expected of you. She gives numerous opportunities for extra credit and picked interesting material. I would definitely recommend this teacher.

Awesome teacher. You have a few quizzes the first 3 weeks from reading you do, easy. After that you just work on one 10-12 page (double spaced) paper the rest of the semester. She gives 2 weeks off plus some other days to work on it. Requires meeting with her, writing center, and peer reviews but they're easy to do. Take it from her if you need it.

I hated the class because of the people. They were really rude and cut her off when should would try and teach. I would talk to her one on one and she was so helpful! She really knows her subject and loves it. You need to apply yourself so you learn but it is a great class!

Love her!!! She actually cares about her students grades and does everything she possibly can to make sure you pass the class. She listens to the students and she even brought in donuts for us one time!! She is a funny little lady and you only have to write one 10-12 page paper and she reads over your draft so the final is perfect! TAKE HER CLASS!!

You should be able to share your opinion on a literary work in an English class, but Vogel will hate you for it if your opinion differs from hers. I tried to voice an opposing view and she stopped calling on me. I would sit there with my hand in the air with her ignoring it to the point where the whole class was laughing it was so ridiculous!

She's very knowledgeable and passionate, all you have to do is turn in your assignments and read the material and you should get an A. I hated how she structured the class, it's just a big discussion and I prefer learning from the professor rather than the students. However, she'll get royally pissed if there isn't student participation

I really enjoyed her class! She was very passionate about literature and chose reading assignments that were thought provoking and enjoyable. I wished we were pushed harder on writing assignments. She promptly and cheerfully answered my questions. I had to have surgery during finals and she went out of her way to be sure I was able to take it!
