If you don't have a solid Spanish foundation, you're probably going to spend most days confused and/or frustrated in Señora Griswold's class. She's really sweet, but she isn't the best Spanish professor. She doesn't explain grammar rules very well, and usually the textbook is more helpful and a better teacher than she is. The exams can be tricky.

Professor Griswold is a very nice woman. She does a bit of review before tests which makes studying a lot easier. You'll have a partner to practice with everyday. If you speak up in class, she'll give you direct feedback and correct you for clarity. She uses her office hours and the tutoring lab is there too. Doesn't answer e-mail on weekends.

Learning another language is always tough. Professor Griswold is very helpful and patient. Sitting with a partner and talking in spanish in class is mandatory. Bring you book, do on-line homework, take notes and practice. so you can get an A. Attending a Spanish event on campus can sometimes be extra credit.

For the people saying that she is difficult, this is false. She does speak a lot of Spanish in her class but if you honestly do not understand it she will tell you in English. Her main thing is to get you to think instead of memorizing. If you have never taken Spanish before or haven't taken it in a few years you will still be able to get an A, eas

Senora Griswold is not a bad teacher. She's tough but it's not impossible in her class to get an A. Study a couple days before each test and get all the homework. You can't overnight study for her tests. You have to do two speeches in her class, an interview, and a final. This is 2001 spanish so that's all you're going to hear. Get used to it.

Please do not take this professor unless you are a native speaker. She is difficult to understand and is a terrible teacher. You will not enjoy this class.

Excellent professor. Tests come straight from the book. You have to deliver a few speeches, but they need only be 2-5 sentences long in full spanish. She grades fairly and an easy A.

She spoke Spanish the whole time which was really helpful. She was really lenient if you forgot your homework and was very friendly. She also graded really easily on tests.

She is a very nice person. But, for an entry level Span course, she made things incredibly difficult on us. I ended up having to drop. I mean the woman goes on and on in Spanish. This is Span 1001! Just baby us please!

I was totally interested in Spanish when I joined this class but Professor Griswold ruined my liking with her lack of help and lack of interest in her teaching. She teaches the class as if everyone is supposed to understand her off the bat. No English at all, all Spanish. If you can help it, take Spanish 2002 with another teacher.

Very good professor. She's very patient, her tests are ridiculously easy if you study, and the classes are fun. She tends to ramble a bit, but it makes the time go by, so it's all good.
