Comment:

Not a terrible professor, just kind of hard to reach for help with stuff. Several times I sent him some code I was having issues with and he sent me back replies that showed me he didn't look at what I sent him.

I took this class online. There were a lot of assignments but the professor was helpful when I had questions regarding a couple of assignments. He hosted a zoom meeting and completely covered the assignment for morse code. Several students volunteered their projects to be shared during the zoom meeting which was interesting.

Can be very strict. Even if you do everything right but you did not turn it in the exact way he wants you to he will give you a ZERO. He does give you a week to make it up. However, by that time it's to late; you have another 80 pages to read. GOOD LUCK WITH THIS GUY. Your going to need it

The professor didn't really do any teaching himself. We were just told to follow a guide on how to install a SQL database and do sections in the textbook every week. The weekly quizzes were overkill. I think after the first week the quizzes were 50-60 questions each.

Professor Hamilton has real experience that he shares with his students. If you take him online, I'd strongly recommend you visit his labs. There are a lot of assignments each week but it is doable.

Prof. Hamilton was very tough, at times, but always fair. He was available for help, in a lab, each week and would spend the time with you to sort through the issues you were having on the assignment(s). However, he will not spoon feed you.

Second time taking professor Hamilton. GREAT professor, but you need to do a lot of self-study if you want to do okay in the online classes (Only format 2360 is offered in). Ultimately, I got a B and felt helpless until I did some self-study on my own time. Get a Used Book. I ended up buying a new book and well, I didn't need to. Will take again.

I took this professor online for summer. He is not very helpful. Its basically you, the book & the assgnt. If you are new to programming, his class will stress you. He gives short clips to videos and thats it. He grades work VERY slow. No clue of how your doing the entire time until you see your grade after he submits at the end of the term.

Professor Hamilton was quick to respond to all my questions and gave me the time to complete all my assignments even if I was a little behind. The book and online course were perfect for me. I've heard the next course is difficult but I'm going to make sure I take it with this professor.

Fair Professor. The class I took was a very hard class. He helps you though. He will let you resubmit assignments if you get it wrong. It took me a few weeks to get caught up on the work. It was not an easy class. But in the end he helped me and I got an A. Most of the work in this class was right from the book.

If you're new to programming, you need to take professor Hamilton. Not only a seasoned veteran in his field, but current and always up to date. He's open to discussion before class, which ultimately ended up helping me decide what direction I want to take my career. If you don't understand, he'll break it down for you. Will be taking him again.

Professor Hamilton went above and beyond to make sure I was a success. I was nervous about programming but he stayed after class to help the students with their assignments, there were many students that stayed and others that came in from other classes Mr. Hamilton was teaching. I hope to have him as my professor for future classes.

Great instructor, with fantastic powerpoint presentations I still use for reference today. Beware of his grading system. I got a 92.5% B when 93% was an A. Great instructor, though.
