He loves photography it shows from his knowledge but does not care what the students do, he is not a nurturing teacher what so ever. He is not a consistent person and tends to have a faulty memory if it doesn't impact him. He will tell you how to do things not teach. This class make sure to ask and bite the bullet to his comments.

Shuzo is passionate about photography, but doesn't seem so passionate about teaching. He is lenient to a fault, making deadlines unclear and situational, and making students apathetic. If you have patience and aren't afraid to ask questions, you might like this class. Otherwise, it's very time-consuming and also expensive. Proceed with caution.

Class was awful. Moved at snail's pace the whole semester then he dumped a bunch of projects on us at the last minute. If you really want to learn film pho. and actually be pushed to take pictures that aren't subpar, take Kapu's class. I DO NOT recommend this teacher unless you need a filler course and are looking to do very little work.

I had photo at brand name CA public u before. excellent photographer, doesn't care about students producing anything good. very easy a, do easy unchallenging projects. no critical feedback frequently misses class due to his professional engagements. puts video on instead. doesn't work in the lab with you. others teach with far greater integrity.

He is very kind. I enjoyed his class. This class is good for students who just want to take this class for fun, but not for serious interest. It is not so easy to get grade A but this class is really fun.

WOW! Excellent skilled photographer, but if you're one who needs someone to hold your hand through the lecture and darkroom, you might need help from the Lab. I really enjoyed this class, I got addicted. I'd take it again and audit if I had the time.
