Quizzes are so easy if you show up to class and pay attention. Tests consist of questions from the quizzes. We had 2 projects and he'll help you with it. If you ask him for help, he'll automatically give you an A. The final exam was easy and there was an extra credit test that were questions from previous quizzes so make sure to keep the quizzes!

Prof. Latham's lectures can be boring sometimes, but you may catch a joke here and there. The projects (they are short for the most part) have clear expectations. The software is out of date so you must actually go to class and do your projects there. You will earn 60% of your grade on the day of your final exam. No Pressure!

His instructions for the weekly projects are detailed, as is the rest of the class manuel used to study for quizzes. Finals week might kill you between a single spaced paper, a final project, and a final practical exam. Day of the final 60% of your final grade. Good teacher overall.

Wow! Was passionate about music and enthusiastic about course material. Yes, you have got to go to class and yes, you have got to do the work (people, wake up-you are paying for this). Learned a lot and hope to further this knowledge. Thoroughly enjoyed class and professor. Just show up, listen and do the work

AWESOME! I'm not studying music but I grew up in orchestra and took this class to learn how to produce electronic music. He's really helpful and it's actually fun. You have to do the work to get the grade, but you have to work to fail this class. Do not be late, you won't present and will get a 0 project grade. Also, there's an absence limit.

Prof. Latham is great. You do not have to have any knowledge of music to take this class or get a good grade. You only need to be able to read & have basic computer knowledge. He is hard to track down via email but he does give students his cell phone number and encourages them to use it . Go to class, DON'T BE LATE, read the text & you'll be fine

I enjoyed the class. As far as him as a teacher, I'm not sure. I understood a lot of the stuff before taking it. But, he was a fun teacher, and (I thought) he USUALLY did a good job at explaining difficult topics in music theory.
