If this weren't an online class, I def would've dropped this teacher. The assignments were straight forward and I enjoyed them, but he would respond to them with "good." The only other detailed responses were when he wanted to disagree with me with his conservative views. There were so many typos in his quizzes, and tech probs happened frequently.

The worst online professor I ever had. Does not help students at all and makes every lesson harder than what it is. Tried emailing him but responded in a rude tone, I would avoid this professor.

I took this class as an elective just for the 3 hr credit. Although I received an A, I would not recommend him to anyone for any course unless he's the only option. He gives more work than I've ever had even in my Master's level classes. He's also a very tough grader and knit picks everything. Hands down worst professor I've ever had.

Very haughty attitude. Talks down to students but allows for questioning. Gets his pronunciation jumbled despite being knowledgeable about topics. Class has absolutely no structure or governing theory other than his "common-sense" attitude about things. Manages to slip in some conservative ideas but is pretty open to discussing things.

I was skeptical in the beginning when I signed up for the class but I really enjoyed his lectures, mostly because he is ex military. You have to show up for class and there's a group presentation. Other than that, it's the usual discussions on elearning and quizzes. I respect him because he expects you to think like an adult and not as a child.

Very lazy teacher. You're only in class one day a week and about 20 mins of that are taken up by a group project that the students do. He doesn't teach the material for the group project until AFTER the group does their project. So essentially you teach for him. Lots of super easy work. Easy A. Great for current events.

He can be a bit monotone sometimes during his lectures but you can tell he really enjoys the subject. His grading scale is fair and he grades everything quickly. I wasn't afraid to email him if I had a question or problem with a test and he got back to me quickly so I wasn't waiting forever like with some teachers. Definitely a repeat teacher!

As everyone else has said, the answers to quizzes are entirely taken from online sources, almost nothing was sourced from the book. Also, beware of what you write your weekly response papers on, he will grade you down a point if he disagrees with you and provides really poor feedback on said papers. Class does help brief you on current events tho.

Might as well take the online class, you learn nothing in the lecture. His online quizzes that he gives weekly are all found online, answers too. The final is 4 questions, different for each person. Some get it easier, some get it harder. Easy one pagers every week, complete busy work. Attendance counts for grade, just get someone to sign you in.

I would say he is overall lazy. If you have an issue, he will respond in a vague manner trying to answer. If it isn't resolved with that answer, he gets flustered and will not respond anymore. Likes to make up things that "should have been done" but was not listed to be done. Passing class with an "A" currently. I don't recommend taking him.

Mr. Hugli is a horrible teacher. Even though I have just started taking his class, I have had so many problems already. There should not be this many problems at the beginning of a semester of taking a class like this. He's not clear at all and I'm already failing the class because of him being extremely ignorant and not explaining things.

Very well informed on the subject matter, but sometimes rambles off-topic, which isn't always a bad thing. Usually has very interesting stories to share about his time in the military. SUCKS at anything involving computers, project requirements are not well explained, but after a few emails I was able to figure out what he wanted.

He's a nice teacher, but he grades so harshly that it's almost as if you didn't even do the assignment anyway. He constantly rambles off into really cool stories, but it takes time away from actual learning. All assignments and test are turned in online, but attendance is mandatory.

TAKE THE ONLINE CLASS. Negatives: powerpoint briefs are badly script-read, and you will go nutty trying to follow the halting, mispronounced style. Positives: the tests are straight from the book. Read the material, you'll do well. The very short Reaction Papers (1/2 page each week) are easy and based on your interests. Be sure to do this ONLINE.

I have had Dr. H for MANY courses. He is a great instructor and expects the student be responsible for their own learning. Priority is real world knowledge/ application. He does have forgetful moments, but he cares about students and the material. Gives email, cell and home phone numbers to students... if you can't reach him it's your own fault.

He is a horrible teacher, going into the class I assumed it would be in-class, but he made over half the class online, but attendance in class was mandatory. He makes so many mistakes that it is just frustrating. And the worst part is he always throw in little conservative political innuendos that are pretty offensive. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

not helpful, very forgetful, won't admit to any mistakes. entered the grades wrong for the entire class making everyone's grade lower than they should have been. Refused to answer emails or phone calls regarding the issue with final grades. Does not know how to use elearning properly and blames all of his mistakes on the computer. AVOID!
