He is a hilarious professor but if your note-taking style required for the professor to write on the board, this is not the professor for you. Also his tests are hard.

The textbook was only needed when he was absent so do not purchase it until needed. If you pay attention and take good notes you'll be fine for the test. we have 3 test, the last test was a take home final and our final paper got canceled. He is not a bad professor, he was easy to me. He is also very funny and he keeps you engaged in the class.

The class is composed of main lectures, good notes are your key to passing. Only 3 tests throughout the semester, fair grader, not hard to get a decent grade. He does tend to stray from the main topics during lectures sometimes. The textbook was used but barely.

Professor Cohen is pretty clear with his lectures, tests and grading. I found this class fairly easy because everything was clear and I was able to understand everything he taught. Most of his tests are about the things he talks about in class which is why taking notes is important! Really loved his sarcasm, he's a good guy. I suggest you take him!

He is very fair and lets students pick their approach in showing their effort. If you're a good test taker, he favors your test score. If you're a better writer, he favors your paper grades. You have to read the book, participate and show him respect. One of the best professors I've had. His lectures seem odd at first but they are to help memory.

I loved this class. His lectures were interesting. Take notes and read the textbook chapters prior to class and you will do excellent on the exams with minimal studying. Great sense of humor, very smart and nice guy. One paper and no presentations. BTW, he was never late for my class and it was @ 8 am- Take him!

He's an awesome professor, he tells the funniest stories!! His lectures are clear - he writes terms on the board, and he let's you know what you need to know for the tests. How helpful can you get? His tests are all multiple choice, and he gave one research paper that is fairly easy, he will help you pick a topic if you ask. Take him!!

He is such an easy going guy. He has his rules but as long as you follow them you'll do fine. but YOU MUST READ THE TEXT BOOK. His tests aren't that hard as long as you READ THE TEXTBOOK. He's very entertaining and if you don't understand something just ask him and e'll explain it as many times as needed until you understand.

he's very nice and his lectures are kind of entertaining. but it's pretty much his show. class participation was nonexistent. He skipped over important topics because HE didn't like them. you MUST read the textbook if you want to learn anything. His tests are confusing (majority failed the 1st) then tries to act like he cares and lets us RE-DO it?

I dk why everyone says he's so bad he was very fair with us. Alot of people didn't do good on the 1st test so he made the other 2 tests way easier. Most of the questions came straight from the notes. He dropped the lowest test grade. I wrote the 5 page term paper the night before it was due and got an A-. Ended up with a B+ in the class.

this professor is cool..he's one of those sarcastic smart ass individuals but at the end of the day that's what we have in this world. to me his tests were easy but you do have to READ the book. took this as a summer course which might be better then a full semester. he is intelligent and you can learn alot from him but his class isnt an easy A

He is a good speaker and keeps class interesting. However, his tests are hard. Best to go on the website the book lists to get the questions you need to know. Otherwise, be prepared to fail. Everyone failed the first and second test. By the third, he asked his secretary for help. She had been with him for years and even SHE failed it.

The test are from the textbook and lectures. So YES you must read the chapters! Makes class intresting, jewish holidays gives us a break! Papers around 5 pages, 3 sources. Regular class to me. Sometimes he goes off a tangent, but still intresting to me. No cell phone use in his class tho. No texting! But take him. He's not there to torture us!
